I think they could have her at Frontier Day. That would easily fall in line with the season, and make a lot of sense IMO.

Who's condoling the Changeling Vadic? Anyone have any thoughts?

I forgot to offer my 2 cents on this one...

I think the "Pa Wraiths" may be the the puppet masters. When it appears to give Vadic instructions (and threats) certainly looks like some type of devil from hell.

It was a good episode that needed to happen for information. I feel kind of bad, as anything compared to the last episode would be tough to do. The last episode, EP 6, was probably the best, most enjoyable, entertaining and heartfelt episode of any I have seen in any of the series. I don’t remember yelling at the TV and hollering for sheer joy like that ever. What we thought we’d never see again happened, and it was glorious.

Seeing (changeling) Tuvok was nice. I hope they bring the ‘real’ Tuvok back in one of the remaining episodes.

I am trying to remember if we have ever seen anything/anyone that can control another’s actions telepathically like that. Seems like an huge clue to what he ‘is’. Offhand I can’t remember, but haven’t given it much thought though. Worf ’controlled’ Quark in DS9 when he fought a Klingon for Griselda(sp?) but that was mechanical. A ‘Q’ could do such, but in theory they are now gone.

Who is controlling the Changelings? From what we have seen/heard they are not a changeling. They were able to manipulate Vadic’s body remotely, and Vadic is obviously frightened by them, but we don’t have a lot else to go on right now. I don’t even have a guess, but I like where the story is going.

The only people I can think of are the "Platonians" where Kirk was forced to kiss Uhura and Spock was humiliated.

Well, after thinking about it some more there was a DS9 Prophet/Pa Wraith battle on the Promenade between Kira and Jake where they were each possessed and fought it out until Kai Winn/Wynn(sp?) screwed everything up and released the gas to knock them out. It’s not the same thing as we saw in the episode, but it is somewhat close. There was also the twice possessed Gul Dukat by a Pa Wraith. Again, not exactly the same, but in the vicinity. There may be something to your Pa Wraith theory.

Hell, I forgot Keiko was possessed by a Pa Wraith as well.

I guess we will see.

Come to think about, wasn't Data, Troi and Miles "Possessed" by alien criminals that were kept on a prison planet where only their conscience was left?

Could also be species 8472, Federation or Section 31 might have secretly went there and pissed them off , thus the retaliatory strike now. They could be considered a more advance form of a changeling.

Yes they were. It was another ‘Keiko is whiny’ episode. I really didn’t like that character at all.

That’s another good idea. I’m really looking forward to seeing how things play out.

Because of all the Janeway drops I could see that. But also, didn’t Voyager have an episode when 8472 was preparing to infiltrate the Federation until Janeway talked them out of it and make them realize the Federation weren’t bad guys? Don’t get me wrong, I know Section 31 could’ve secretly done something to piss them off, but I would’ve thought Janeway had built enough capital to maybe get a ring from 8472 to see what the frick is going on before they attack.

But then again, they could think Janeway herself and the Federation were just being duplicitous.

If that’s the case, they’d have to explain how or why 8472 hooked up with the new changelings to start this whole thing and why having a perfect replica of Picard is so important.

Really enjoying this season. Gave up the show after season 1- and read these threads and gave season 3 a go.

Species 8742 was a favorite of mine. They only had 4 episodes but their dominance over the Borg, "fluidic" space, and telepathic powers made them formidable and interesting.

Would love to see a comeback. The only thing that does match up with them are the tendrils that appear to Jack in his mind, although they are darker, tendrils did grow to infect a human they touched(Harry Kim) in the Scorpion 2 parter. But the body control would be new. Maybe...maybe not. But enjoying this season- it finally feels like revisited TNG, DS9, and Voyager.

Why would picard’s body be kept by section 31? My guess is it had less to do with studying Picard and more to do with studying Locutus as a potential weapon. This season could end with Picard facing off against a resurrected Locutus.

Next Episode is out. Titled "Surrender"

Back to another strong episode. I don't want to say much until others chime in but Brent Spiner continues to shine as an actor with his final battle with Data vs Lore.

This episode had suspense, action and a few tear jerking moments.

A lot of Easter Eggs from music to effects.

Damn I love this season

Damn, so does Chateau Picard wine taste like arse?

And Tasha, poker, and Spot as Data's most cherished memories was so good.

My only nitpick is that I thought changelings could survive in space?

Honestly I wish she had gotten sucked into space and then blasted by a torpedo or something.

Regular Changelings can survive in Space. These are hybrids
