This show was good in season one, but bringing Q back was brilliant

Only 2 episodes so far but I've enjoyed this way more than season 1 or any Discovery.
This definitely has way more of the original TNG feel.
I know we've all talked about it before, but there are still some scenes where Stewart is just old and it shows, but there's nothing to be done for it.
I also appreciate that they pretty much gave us a mirror universe TNG episode without screwing up the continuity since it's not technically the mirror universe in which Earth should have been pacified and conquered by now.

I hope they do something to live up to Q's last words to Picard in All Good Things.

Anyone wonder if we're going to see a repeat of Star Trek IV with the doctor in episode 3?
And for any Bosch fans, the Borg Queen

Definitely a huge step up from season 1, but take that with a grain of salt.

Solid Star Trek IV reference in this episode.

That scene your are referring is not the biggest reference. If you are an avid DS9 fan as I am, in September of 2024, The "Bell Riots" occurred in San Francisco. Sisko, Dax and Bashir travelled back to that period and Sisko had to assume the role of Graham Bell the protect the timeline.
Picard is now in LA in 2024. I have to wonder if that event is tied to Q's sending the Picardians of the Galaxy to this period.

Sure, but it was still a solid reference. They even got the same actor apparently from the 1986 movie. Made me

Absolutely..It was gold!

And I really hope that we see something more concrete with the Bell Riots. I mean, surely they didn't just pick 2024 for this season out of the blue.

Anti-Trump or anti-Desantis.
Remember these are the same people who made Stacey Abrams president of Earth.

the only good thing about this show is it's better than season 1 so far but that's not a good thing either

I can't watch anymore. I guess Hollywood is incapable of writing a show without smearing a political agenda across your face.
The portrayal of ICE pissed me off so bad.

You're about 27 years too late. You might have noticed Rios was being transferred to the "Sanctuary District" in Southern California. The 1995 DS9 Episode "Past Tense P1 and 2" had the Away team in the "Sanctuary District" in San Francisco. Law enforcement back then wasn't portrayed in the most flattering way to the less fortunate that were regulated to these areas.
Did anyone notice "Jackson Roykirk Plaza"? That was the person that created the Nomad Probe from TOS.
I have a feeling the doctor that saved Rios may be this shows version of "Edith Keeler". She's helping out the less fortunate and may be the epicenter of everything like Edith Keeler.
Star Trek has been dealing with poverty since the beginning. Probably a good idea for you to tune out since you can't process an issue that has been part of the show for 50+ years.

The level of SJW pandering on this show is off the charts

Did you watch Deep Space Nine? Did you watch Star Trek IV?
This season of Picard isn't really giving us anything that hasn't been covered by Star Trek before.
