I got bit by the TV edit this last year. Watched American Assassin on Tv and thought it was ok for my son on Netflix. It was not.

Kathleen Quinlan is kind of an underrated babe. She's never talked about but she's pretty in everything she appears in. She's also remained attractive as an older woman.

Basically Hollywood realized nothing could be rated X anymore and R was too light so they created this middle ground that they thought would be fine...but immediately NC-17 was some new salacious rating.
I mean Show girls is an Rotated flick thrown into this NC-17 ambiguity.
So like how they took PG films and threw them into PG-13, they took R rated films and threw them into NC-17 because at least that sounded better than X. But that rating bombed like PG-13.
