Disney is deliberately trying to destroy culture.

Avoid them.

Just watched the trailer-

So the Lost Boys are now Co-ed.

Tinkerbell is black.

Peter Pan is Hispanic.

Wendy is now an expert sword fighter.

Are the Indians going to be gay?

More erasing of white & male characters.

Getting rationed into oblivion.

Disney thinks POC have no worthy stories or characters themselves. That’s why they feel established whiiiite people must be overwritten.

Just like the ancient kings of old, who would scratch out their predecessors and claim their temples & monuments for themselves.

So they're removing the creepy Freudian element from Barrie's original? Is important to reinforce the idea that boys need romantic partners to replace their mothers.

Oh look, another shite take from Jay Are. Color me shocked.

It's all pandering though...that's the point.

That is the issue because Disney and their execs have all come out over the last several years and stated they were going to use Disney with its distribution to drive their political agenda.

I could care less what color someone is playing a part if they are good, but to do it just to make a point and trying to sway children with their ideology should not be allowed.

The FTC lead the charge several decades ago to prevent deceptive marketing practices against kids under the age of 13 but yet Disney's practices seem to be allowed to do the same without any governance.

One of the best comments from the Drinker video:
quote:

Dang - Wendy in the classic animated film was so strong. Like the part where she walks the plank and keeps her chin up the entire time. As a kid, that really struck me. While not fighting pirates in the same way as Peter or the Lost Boys, Wendy exuded a different type of strength, something that the others lacked. She showed that growing up doesn't have to mean becoming an unsafe, selfish person. She demonstrated the kind of heart and compassion that is truly a strength in adulthood and is missing in so much of the world.

Really sad to see that this subtle yet profound lesson was lost on the modern writers and they've instead gone the route of "girl has to be better at boying than boys or she's a victim of the patriarchy" route, which is so tiresome. What happened to celebrating diversity and our differences?! ??

- Wendy Darling: Are there girls too?
- Peter Pan: Girls are much too clever to fall out of their prams.”

Hence, The Lost BOYS.

So the REAL message here?

These lost 'girls' are the idiots.

Disney is so fokkin' stupid.

As of right now:

243K Dislikes

And I'd assume YouTube is working overtime knocking that number down to appease Disney.

Why does Wendy now have elite combat skills?

Taking on two pirates concurrently? Really?

And female Lost Boys? Black Tinkerbell?

What...?

They pretty much had to be because if they didn’t, they would get knocked up and have to marry the guy or become the town whoore.

In an interview Drinker had a good point about all of this.

A lot of movies take 3-4 years to make, so when the wave started a couple of years ago that was really 7-8 years ago. The backlash over a lot of the poor writing ballooned and companies had to decide over time if a project was worth continuing or scrapping and it can be heard to scrap something millions of dollars in.

We are likely seeing the tail end of this (I hope) and we can get back to stories where “strong woman” doesn’t equal “automatically beats men at everything” and race swapping for no reason.

Honestly changing Tinkerbell would not have been a big deal if they hadn’t done it more egregiously and for characters where it made way less sense to do so already.

Will the board Wokerati explain why Lost BOYS can mean boys AND girls, but X-Men is problematic? And must be changed?
