Yes, it has terrible acting! The only good performance is Pfeiffer.

I agree with everyone here who says it’s overlong, poorly written, try-hard crap with a bad soundtrack and poor acting. It’s like a made for TV movie with more violence and cursing. If Hallmark Channel made mob movies, they’d make Scarface.

I like the story but what makes me cringe is Pacino's "Cuban" accent. It's just really bad.

I love it. Its a very 80's movie about very 80's period of time. Its over the top and meant to be that way. The chain saw scene and the meeting w/ Sosa are two of my favorite scenes. It has a Blue Velvet, Body Double kind of vibe. Maybe i'm just being nostalgic but my guess is a lot of people who hate it are younger and can't appreciate the uniqueness of it.

I actually think it's not entertaining. I actually think it's a bad to mediocre movie. What do you have to say about that?

I had to buy tickets to Terms of Enderment and sneak into Scarface. When there were only 2 screens on 1 side of the theater, back then i thought it was awesome but on rewatch I find it horribly overrated.

Pretty much sums it up for me. I used to think it was an awesome movie. Watched it again recently and it is a pretty bad movie.

That Cuban accent was awful. I guess if you go in to it as a comedy it is good because I got some good laughs from it.

Hell why not throw in Marlon Brando and Daniel Day Lewis too.

I’m very, very confused why so many people like the movie Scarface. I’ve seen tons of people in the past few years wear knee long Scarface t-shirts, like it’s a flag or something. Like the guy from the movie Scarface is their hero. I wonder if they’ve seen the end of the movie, because it ends really, really badly. Spolier alert, Scarface dies snorting a comical pile of cocine in a tacky-arse mansion that looked as if The Golden Girls won the lottery. Also, I don’t like people lumping Scarface with other movies. I have friends that will be like, “I like movies like The Godfather and Scarface.” Oh yeah? Well my favorite foods are lobster and skittles, those are equal in my eyes!

Yep checks out. Wasn’t even born when Scarface came out. Suffers from generational pussification.

How can one hate a movie that provided the inspiration for one of the best wrestling gimmicks of my youth? Know what I mean chico?

It's one of my favorites, although I can understand why some people don't care for it.

I saw it when it first came out. Even then I knew it was schlocky overkill. But teenage me liked it. Watching it years later I couldn't make it all the way through. It's bad.
But Pacino's bad acting did prepare us for his monumental job of overacting in Scent of a Woman.

Hey he was pretty good in that. He was a depressed alcoholic...he's gonna get animated but there's still tons of subtlety in that performance and movie where there's a lot of quiet scenes with no over-acting...he's not just shouting Al.

His worst is Scarface..."Manolo, choot dat piece of chit."

His second worst is probably Devil's Advocate.
