It was a mix up obviously but the point stands. Acting wasn’t bad.

Did you actually believe for one second that Pacino's character was an officer in the US Army? That movie - and his acting - was laughably bad.

Pacino looks like Richard Lewis and Alan Rosenberg fused at the molecular-genetic level.

Gene Hackman is the guy who says "You can't handle the truth."

At least that's what people in BR think. #meta

Scarface grew in popularity with the emergence of 80s/90s gangsta culture and many rap songs sampling lines from the movie. It was shock appeal.

It has a lot of great lines that can be fun to throw around, but is pretty comical overall. Tony killing Manny was stupid.

Blow is a superior film.

I never saw the appeal. Maybe if it had come out when I was in high school... But I can understand people being into it.

Supposedly, Kevin Garnett can quote every line in the movie, so...

The wide range of emotions from Michelle Pfeiffer in that movie.

I love Scarface.

But I love it for the same reason I love Commando, Kickboxer, Under Siege, Con Air, etc.
It’s entertaining, good soundtrack, and just gets over the top. Almost on that so corny and cliche’ it’s good spectrum. Like if you were gonna make an organized crime movie today in the fashion they did with action movies and The Expendables, you’d get something like Scarface.

Now if you were to take the premise of Scarface, the broad strokes, and the character of Tony Montana and do it in style of say American Gangster with a more serious undertone, then you could be looking at one of the GOAT crime dramas.

Just rewatched it on Netflix to see if my mind could be changed.

Holy-Moly...this movie is basically retarded. It makes no sense, the accents and storyline are horrible.

Michelle is hot but a stone faced cold bitche who acts like a statue.

Texas Chainshaw Massacre had more finesse in film-making.

It really is a terrible movie. It's sort of fun, I guess...and takes you back to the 80's. But it's just more guilty...non-pleasure.

I mean, I'd rather watch Above the Law over and over again.

This movie would never be released today. Not only does it sort of suck...and is funny (unintentionally) but SJWs would get in a tizzy with Al Pacino and his acting.

I'm just reading through seeing whose taste in movies fricking sucks, as indicated by them bashing on Scarface.
Duly noted.
