Look at all those white suprematists (virtually nonexistent).
But ignore all the blacks slaughtering white people daily.

I watched the entire Purge series to get a peak into the retarded antifa mind. Maybe I'll check this out. Eventually. For free.

but everyone's always asking for original films
But, it’s not an original film. In fact, it sounds like such a tired, hackneyed bag of cliches that it borders on self-parody.

Boys and Watchmen series on the other hand..
At least Boys was mostly entertaining and completely over the top. Watchmen was a gigantic turd.

the only thing that i can say well about Watchmen series is that it made me research the Tulsa Riots that I didn't learn about till my 30s. regardless of the truth espoused from either side, i'm ashamed my education didn't teach me that.
then I really went into it and realized that the accused probably did what they said and that the aggressors shot first thinking that a lynching happened that didn't.

And they think this is a good idea to release after Charlie’s assassination by a leftist whack job?

it was filmed half a year before this and based off of 80s/90s leftist literature.
i'm as right wing as they come, but it's hollywood being hollywood in a bubble having no knowledge of what was going to happen last week.

Actually a little bummed because unlike a lot of leftist fan fiction this one looks like it's probably well made.
I'd watch a semi-neutral movie about aging violent-left radicals coming to grips with their ideology and prior acts even if it romanticizes it a bit. But with critics acting like this is some vindication of "revolution" against authoritarianism, I'm guessing that's not the case. We'll see.

As has been said already, Pynchon is political (at least in the three novels I've read, including Vineland), but he won't fit into the stupid binary boxes you guys can't help but categorize everything into. The idea of labeling a book about a man who has cast his "leftish" politics aside to get high and take it easy as a piece of "leftist literature" is ridiculous, at best
The book is about a dude who injures himself to collect disability checks, another dude using government agencies and money to fund very personal vendettas, and it features the word "fascist" thrown around very liberally as part of the humor. And there's a goddamn ninja.
We don't know what this movie is yet, but the novel leaans more nihilistic than leftist.

Anderson has contemporized the timeline, situating us in our dismayingly recognizable era of fascist creep and following a sadly less recognizable underground effort to stop it.

Loosely inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s postmodern novel Vineland
Oh yeah, it's a real frickin mystery...

If it opens at $25 million domestically, it will beat the domestic box office runs of all but two of his previous films (There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights). He’s never been a box office draw but this movie will make up for it during award season.
