I laughed out loud at least twice and they were both Flash scenes because I didn’t expect it at all. You’re a damn liar or have an agenda

Will there be another Justice League film? Is Affleck gonna do Batman again?
I found it interesting that ( and I don’t know if it is said in the Whedon version) but they specifically reference the “multiverse” early in the film. It’s been rumored that this plays heavily in The Flash movie with Keaton set to return for a cameo. Never say never I would think

hated Cyborg and Steppenwolf in the previous one,
As for Steppenwolf, I thought he was legitimately scary and bad arse as a villain in this version. The changes they made to his character model were SO well done and really added to his menace. The fact that we got to see his actual skin as well—I didn’t like the body armor in the first shots but it makes sense now

They also referenced alternate timelines in the epilogue. As in Batman’s doomsday future being one possible timeline.

For what it’s worth, it was going to be Martian Manhunter from the beginning.

After some quick research, it’s completely plausible to think Victor Stone scored that game winning TD against a Dave Aranda led defense.

I’m going to hit you with an akchually, but I just read an article where Zack wanted John Stewart as GL and they told him no because they were doing their own announcement for that character.
You’re right though that Swanwick was always MM and would’ve been revealed in one of the next two JL films

Exactly, caused by the Flash entering the speed force if anyone isn’t aware

Flashpoint would be a convenient way to recast the actors that don't want to come back.

It’s a damn shame that Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan won’t be reprising their roles as Thomas and Martha Wayne in Flashpoint.
I would’ve loved to have seen them as Batman and Joker.

How different is it?
Posted on 3/19/21 at 8:07 am to Peter167
Only about 30 minutes of Snyder’s actually made it into the theatrical cut.
Scenes may visually appear to be the same but dialogue and content are drastically different.
It’s a long haul for sure but it’s worth the pay off.

I would love to see this story as well but Lauren Cohan would probably not be a good Joker.

Ok. Watched it yesterday in one sitting and here are my thoughts:
1. This movie shows that they should have done a flash movie with his backstory a bit and pulled that out of this movie except for him going back to him.
2. This could have easily been pulled into 3 movies at 2 hours each. I felt like some of it felt hurried (as odd as that is) in a 4 hour movie as there was a lot going on. Flash being one, Steppenwolf getting two of the boxes being one and then a showdown for the resurrection/final box.
3. Steppenwolf was a much better character in this movie than the previous. I can't say MUCH BETTER any louder, he was many times better in this. Just a little bit of context went a long way for his character.
4. Cyborg was MUCH BETTER in this one too. I still think he is boring as a character overall and he probably couldn't carry his own movie with his arch being so central to this story, but he is much better in this one.
5. Aquaman felt so out of place in this one as we have seen his origin movie and you have to rewind your mind some for his character now in a new experience. It is an odd feeling with him not being ruler at this point.
6. I still think Affleck was a great Batman, just used poorly in the other iterations of his character. I wasn't crazy about the super thick suit but I understand it. Some of the shots felt like they did reshoots with another actor as it didn't look like Affleck.
7. Superman was better here. He looked much better and felt more like Superman in this one. I wasn't crazy about either of the other two superman movies with Cavill in them as they felt too dark but dark was a good thing in this and Superman showed some light in the movie. Better feel for Cavill in this one.
8. Darkseid looked great IMO, but I wanted to see some more of him. Maybe some interaction on Apokalyps with his other minions. The felt very Black Order-ish in the scenes where you see them, don't know who came first on that.
9. The henchman that kept talking to steppenwolf looked like the henchman on Ready Player One. When i went to look for pictures, someone already did the comparison for me.
Overall, I thought this was in my top 2 of the new DCU movies with Shazam being the other. Wonder Woman being 3, then the rest are a mixed bag for me. I think I liked Shazam better but I'm not a big DC fan to start with and Shazam was a more fun movie to watch. This was a really good effort on their part but also highlights how bad they fricked up to start with. DC really needed some patience to build the universe and tried to shoehorn everything in. This felt like a movie for the fans that told a story rather than a movie being put out to make a ton of money.

It was network TV, sitcom level comedy. I was surprised there wasn’t a laugh track. Mouth breather.

Different Joker. Flashpoint Joker is so consumed by grief that her mind is broken.

Got about 90 mins into it last night and have enjoyed it. It's better than I expected so far, but as others have said takes some time to get rolling. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing though. I've already said, "this is a better movie" at least 4 times to my wife.

I got through the first 3 hours last night. Surprisingly, it held my interest for that long. It felt like a different movie than the theatrical release.
