Perhaps it's an acquired taste, but I love the nightmare dream sequences in both Batman V Superman and Justice League.
Knowing that Darkseid won and Superman was turned by the death of Lois/anti life equation is
.
Throw in the icing on the cake with getting to see the hollowed out shell of Wayne Manor/The Hall of Justice and Carrie Kelley in Batman V Superman.
Then the continuation with Deathstroke and Joker taunting Batman with the death of Dick Grayson in Justice League.

They spent $70 million dollars on it and part of that’s was Snyder converting it to black and white so this is just wrong.
The reason for black and white is because Zack watched the his cut of the movie in black and white for 2 years on his laptop. He didn’t have the color version
What are you talking about?
quote:
“My ideal version of the movie is the black-and-white IMAX version of the movie,” Snyder told YouTube channel TheFilmJunkee back in November 2020. “That to me is the most fan-centric, most pure, most Justice League experience. Because that’s how I lived with the movie for two years, in black and white.”
Ah, so because he watched it in black and white on his laptop for 2 years, but definitely didn't film it as such, we've been subjected to this.
Have you seen it? It's muddy as hell. The reds and blues that dominate the first hour work because of contrast. It's just a blob in black and white.
This secondary B&W release has nothing to do with what Snyder envisioned while actually filming the movie. It's a "just because" recoloring in the same vein as Fury Road and Parasite: adds nothing but an idea of misplaced prestige.

You seem angry over something that is simply an optional way of viewing the movie.
I have no desire to watch it in black and white and sure as shite won’t waste time watching it in order to justify that stance

Exactly what’s in the article. Reading comprehension? I never said he filmed it in B&W but you’re wrong that it doesn’t look right. They’re able to adjust the images just fine during the conversion process

If you need any confirmation that the movie is good, just know that the two biggest soyboys on the board hate it.

I watched this in parts over the last week and really enjoyed it. It wasn't perfect but it was damn sure better than the original. It actually has me excited to see more.
Also now after seeing this it's amazing how much they screwed up the original. How do you have Darkseid as the ultimate villain that you are building towards and not even show him in the original?

The two biggest, not the top 5.

I wish Tactial1 would rejoin the conversation.

No,
The fact is, the theatrical cut is a Zack Snyder film.

You're Hogan vs the Rock at Wrestlemania.

It's a big indictment on Zack Snyder's prowess as a filmmaker that he needs 4 hours to make a film that's just barely decent with a coherent plot. It shows he has no ability to make a competent film that's under 2.5 or even 3 hours to keep it profitable for DC and why he should have no further role in the DCEU going forward.
But even with the coherent plot, Snyder still shows that he does not understand the characters he's making a movie about.
Shows you why DC left hundreds of millions, if not billions on the table with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.
Also, if there's one thing I liked about Whedon's justice league as bad as it was, it was the bright colors and it fit characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Aquaman. Snyder's muted to dark and gloomy approach only works for Batman and only Batman.

I loved Man of Steel when it first came out. Thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Several posters on this board even mocked me for it.
But as the years passed, the more I realized I was in denial and I was desperate for a good Superman movie and came to realize that MoS was nothing more than an action movie about an alien with super powers fighting other aliens with super powers but it was not a Superman movie that respected his background, tone and color. Snyder never understood the character nor did he make any effort to do so.
And then Snyder proceeds to butcher Superman and Batman's first time on screen together with the same tactics and style he botched Man of Steel with and it firmly cemented my belief that Zack Snyder is a terrible filmmaker that does not understand/respect the character's source material.

Even if you end at the epilogue he still would've had around an hour to knock off for a theatrical release. There's probably 10 minutes of pointless slow-mo that would be easy but another 50 minutes is pretty substantial.

"I let the hive mind of the M/TVB brow beat me into claiming to hate what I first enjoyed. I was so terrified of being outed as a cultural and intellectual Philistine to these other posters I changed my posted opinion to curry their favor."
