Isn’t that what they said about the Snyder cut?

Yeah I think that if he does get to do a Justice League 2, we get a different plot. The Knightmare scene has a different set up and I seriously doubt they’d even consider the whole love triangle thing.

I am a much bigger comics/superhero film fan than the next guy, but the people who said that this four hours flies by are full of poop. I just hit the three hour mark, Clark and Lois are in Smallville, and I’m like, OK, let’s do this final battle thing and end this. This is definitely a grind, an enjoyable grind, but four hours is still four hours. Hell, you didn’t even see Bruce in the Batman costume until one hour and 53 minutes

You are wrong. It flew by for me and it’s honestly annoying being told I didn’t experience it how I did.

Maybe you should eat an edible the next time you watch a movie.

Isn’t “eat an edible” an oxymoron?

Regardless, I don’t watch a movie at home without a tumbler full of whiskey at my side if not a belly full of whiskey once it starts rolling.

My wife watched it over the weekend. She loved it. Her questions weren't the usual "who was that guy" and "Why did they" questions. They were mostly about Whedon's choices:

"Why the hell wasn't Darkseid in the first version?"
"Did the Mother Boxes wake up in the other Justice League movie because Superman died? I didn't get that."
"Is this the same Steppenwolf character or a new one? They're totally different. This one's a real character."

And the usual, "I know I've asked you this before, but why do Deathstroke and Deadpool look alike and are both named Wilson?"

is there a clearly defined middle point in this movie?

no way I have the time to sit down for a 4 hour movie, so will have to watch over at least 2 nights

I mean there are clearly defined sections. Like literal title cards Saying Part 1, Part 2, etc.

So if you want to stop when one of those come up, that's a good place.

There's chapters with break points. That's what I did.

7/10 for me. It drags so hard in spots and suffers from a lot of snyderisms (bad slo mo, bad music choices in spots) as expected but it's a good story, mostly well written characters (ray fishers cyborg is still poorly written and Ezra Miller is an awful actor) but it's fun and feels more impactful and leaves me wanting more.

i watched it over 2 days and multiple start/stops.

i'd take a break after the team meets Steppenwolf together for the first time.

Watched up until part 4 last night, will try to finish it tonight. All in all way better than any other Snyder DCEU movie at this point, but I was definitely glad when that "Part 4" popped up so I could take a break. But at least almost everything is coherent, so that's a big win.
