That very well could be possible. Would be very interesting as well.
I for one hope they don't get to the Woodbury story arc until the third season. There's plenty of stuff to come before that to fill the second season, and you've gotta give the audience time to get attached to the characters before you slaughter them wholesale.

I'm just thinking of ways for Merle to comeback and this made sense to me. With the tv series going the way it is, nothing will suprise me

I haven't read the comics,but I'm pretty sure Rick won't lose his hand.Shane will get popped,but I think Lori might do it.I don't see Dale biting it at all.Daryl might go down,but he's going to kill the frick out of some zombies first.

Jesus, took me all evening but I finally caught up through #79...love where they're going with the Community...looks like they are about to get caught in the middle of a Herd (which by the way genius thinking...the way they explained it).

I do the trade paperbacks (via library). I imagine the individual comics jumped in value, though.

Does anyone here think that the T-Dog story will lead to them finding out that you don't have to be bitten to turn?
And also I think Daryl and Merle will kill each other down the road.

T-Dog certainly appears to be on the way out. I was dissapointed he didn't die when the herd showed up. In the comics the group didn't realize one could come back as zombie if they weren't bitten when Tyrese's daughter's bf shot her.
And if T-Dog replaces Tyrese in this series I will be pissed.
I think Merle will actually kill Daryll because he turned his back on his "family" and sided with the people who left him to die on top of a roof. And Merle will most likely be the governor and I think that's stupid. The governor wads redneck hick.

No kidding, if pretty much the second best character behind Michonne gets turned into him that will be tremendously lame. It's bad enough how pathetic they have made Andrea in the tv series.

What Enigma revealed:
Before leaving the original camping area, Shane practically wigs out because Lori won't leave Rick for him. He snaps, points a gun at Rick, and it appears is going to kill his friend to be with his wife. Well Carl thinks otherwise and shoots Shane through the neck...killing him.
It is confirmed Lori is pregnant and that the baby is most likely Shane's, even though Rick says he doesn't want to know and that it is what it is. In a raid by the Governor and his people on the prison, Lori and the new baby (Judith...who is only a few months old) are both shot and killed when Lori tries to run away. Basically 80% of the entire cast is wiped out...which leads to Rick and Carl escaping and starting over
