I wasn't here for the full thread. Where did this happen? Did someone post a scene from the comics that tied back directly to a scene from last night's show? Because that wouldnt be a spoiler.

I'm not. I'm complaining about Liberty confirming shite when nonreaders are saying "I think it's cannibals."

ok hi guys :)
my 2 cents here since i've read this whole thread and haven't seen this discussed yet
1. the food they were trying to give them..poisoned? something put in it to knock them out so they could move them to the train car? notice no one ate it..but its the first thing they offer 'new' people.
2. when you die you turn. that explains why they can't kill them ahead of time for food..but doesn't explain what happens when you eat a human that is dead & their flesh is 'zombifying'. maybe the food is like a drug and now these people 'have' to keep eating it or they turn.
anyway, just my rambling thoughts.

The Terminus thing isn't in the comics and Gareth isn't either. None of us have any knowledge of that group. He was just speculating.

they just eat them fresh before they turn is my thoughts. Or you know put them down by destroying the brain somehow.

What ya'll are forgetting is that Rick planted dem guns there. Just wait to arrives back at his gun farm.
I know it won't happen, but it would be cool if they all had some secret strategy in place where everyone knows where guns will be buried. Sort of like "If we ever are separated, I will bury the weapons at the midpoint of the north wall of wherever I end up."
It would be cool if Tyrese and Carol (and Beth?) got to Terminus and immediately knew where the weapons would be. That's a stretch, I know, but something I thought about last night. But seeing as how they never had a backup plan to meet up in case the prison went down, I know it's not gonna happen.

I came in after the show and posted my theories. Some saw one of them as a spoiler so that was my bad but in no way was I intending it as a spoiler I was just saying what I considered possibilities.
One I never considered that was brought up here was that Carl had something under his hat. Did he have it on the whole time? I thought he took it off the wipe his head in the room full of candles. I could have been wrong.

Only an idiot would "think its cannibals" after the entire episode and Talking Dead aired. They are either cannibals or the very very small position that they "look like cannibals". Which I would absolutely hate.

I'm with Coco on this whole argument. Would I have picked up that they were cannibals at this point in the show if I never read this thread? Maybe. But I won't ever know that. It seems clear to me, but I'm thinking it is mostly because of this thread. Other than them not killing the group, what really indicated they were cannibals? If there were a ton of examples, I'd prefer to be wrong than right. All I can remember is seeing that woman offer them meat every time they show her and it seeming fishy.

That would certainly explain why they're keeping them alive.
That just brought another thought to my mind. That poor Alex guy is dinner tonight...
And who shot him? I couldn't make it out. Was it Rick or the crazy chick?

I don't know if she will show up at the beginning, middle, or end of the season but I think darryl will play a part in her rescue assuming she needs rescuing so by that logic I believe darryl will need to be free of terminus before exploring the Beth angle assuming she is not at terminus.
That's what I was saying too...I'm thinking Darryl will be a part of her rescue (if it happens) as well.

I'll answer it in the other thread since it might be a spoiler.

Its pretty clear that the Undertaker and Paul Bearer took Beth. The only real question is if Kane was involved.

So we've got two sides. One that this Terminus group are cannibals. And this is where the majority is, because of evidence in the show. (The snare trap parallel. Caging the "livestock" and not killing them. The entrails. The whole episode being focused around food, but either growing it or trapping it. And at one point trapping and raising it.)
Then we have the side that says, it's too easy that they're cannibals, and of course this quote from TigerinATL in a post that seems to be used as the main argument for not cannibals.
Question is, if not cannibals, then what?
Before answering, remember this: The people of Terminus have apparently been fricked before. That's why they say "Us always first" or whatever it was of that nature. This is also this quote: Alex said that "the more people become part of us, we get stronger."
If slave labor, where are the slaves and what are they working on? I didn't see any fields or livestock (which could mean Terminus is a big place so that could be given).
Extremely desperate is the name of the game. The Governor was extremely desperate, he brought a fricking tank to tare down the house that he WANTED. Shane was desperate, he wanted to kill his best friend and take everything he had and would have killed more people if needed (see Otis). Now, what did they have in common? They lived the "normal life." They had jobs, a house and people that cared for them. Their survival in day to day life came from going to the supermarket and picking up what was on the list. In a zombie filled frick show of a world, they have to find new ways of survival. Sort of like the people of Terminus. They're desperate.
Now look at people like Joe and the Marauders. What did Joe tell Daryl? He didn't see the world as going to shite. He saw it as finally leveling out. Becoming what it's suppose to be. He's not desperate. He's comfortable.
And you're right they are still in America. Killing children is looked down on as well, but they did it when they could have easily locked Lizzy up in the house and left. And don't forget the Terminus folks treated to kill Carl.

quote:
All the signs are there except for the fact that it doesn't make sense. This still America where everyone would be disgusted at the thought of cannibalism unless extremely desperate, they are in a large fenced in facility with some amount of electricity, the ability to grow food and a decent amount of human labor. If that's the direction they're going I'll suspend my disbelief, but it just seems like it'd be a hard sell for people capable of producing their own food. Slave labor would seem the more logical way to go than cannibalism. Where do all of the people of Terminus go? Are they in the rec room watching TV? Again, canniballism seems like a bit of a stretch given their capabilities which means it will probably require a bit more explanation than one episode of "we're cannibals and you're dinner".

I am a reader of twd GN and of everything related to ASOIAF/GOT. Never once does it occur to me to post in the no spoiler/non reader threads.
I only click on these threads to lurk and see what people are saying and get their thoughts on the shows. I don't understand why readers would ever go in these threads and act like they are guessing what happens next when they DO know what is coming up. In twd the readers don't know how they will get to the next plot but they are fully aware of the plots coming up unless in the future the show writers say the hell with it and go a completely different direction which up to this point they haven't done yet.
As for liberyaides and the other comic readers, they are definitely spoiling shite and I think the punishment should be death(banishment)

Jenner said some turn almost immediately, some turn at late as 12 hours later. But if you kill a live person by head shot, they aren't coming back at all. They are just a regular DB that rots at presumably the normal pace. Leaving plenty of time to filet and smoke.

I would have thought we would have seen her at terminus during this episode if she were going to be at terminus. Since she wasn't there I have to think she was taken elsewhere.
One reason I wans't a huge fan of the finale was because we didn't see everybody (main cast). We've gotten nothing on Beth in two weeks, and didn't even see Tyrese/Carol once. That's why this would've been a great penultimate episode.
