I'm expecting the hilltop to be an important cog in the wheel that is the zombie apocalypse for Rick and his group...
The hilltop guys are in a lose lose situation right now, so instead of being bullied for half of their supplies, they may as well offer half of what they have now in return for protection from Rick and his gang

He can turn water into wine, but you don't think he can grow a beard.

On the Talking Dead he said it was fake, but now it's real.

well hell
You're probably right though. Touched up what he already had. I thought it was 100% fake.

So I guess the Wolves storyline is completely done? Seemed like after the big fight scene in the fall the wolves would have wanted payback. They didn't all get killed. Maybe we will see them again later?

Maybe Negan is the Wolves? Idk... Just speculation.

I don't remember. I guess not. Good call.

Just caught up on the last two episodes. I really like Jesus, hoping he's around for awhile.
Nah, those guys they met seemed different. It'd be interesting if we get a big melee down the line...Alexandrians/Hilltoppers vs Saviors/Wolves. Eugene standing in as Mills Lane to officiate

He said it was real on TTD
He said he didn't have enough time to grow a real beard from the time he got the part to the first day of shooting so they went fake. It's real now.

I thought they mentioned Maggie getting Beth a butterfly (or some animal) necklace...

That was Andrea and her sister in the first season.

Very cool episode. A few:
Where the frick is Carol? She's like the chief ninja-killer and missing out on this?
Why isn't there someone riding on top of the RV with a fricking RPG? (I know...)
After a dude stabs your leader, why do you freak out on the visitor who tried to stop it/whatever?

Finally got around to watching it (checked out the Oscar's Sunday).
- It makes sense that there would be a "tribute" type situation between communities. After a string of "crazy just to be crazy" types like cannibals and people who carve letters in their forehead, it's good to see people doing things geared for survival. Of course Gregory's group seemed to be acting more out of cowardice but I'm sure there would be some like that in the ZA. Tribute relationships are a pretty common part of the history of human civilization.
- One thing that I didn't think was organic was Rick jumping in and starting to wail on the guy that stabbed Gregory right off. It really wasn't Rick's group's fight at that point. I could see maybe subduing the guy but just to start beating him struck me as odd. Then again, Rick's "what?" could indicate it was designed to show how feral he's become. And I don't blame him for puncturing the guy's neck because at that point they guy had been holding a knife to his throat.
- Gregory was an a-hole. But he did gain some points with me by telling them to clean the frick up. And it STILL doesn't like they did it even though they went to go do it.

He should have told them to clean up and later told Daryl "dude you need to hVe another round in the shower"
Question. Is the soil red in VA?

Ricks arrogance..without doing any type of recon on this group he thinks he can just roll up on them and kill their leader?

Yeah. In a way I'm glad to see Rick and the group come to the realization that they have great fighting skills. (Although he and Abe both were on the short end for a time in the fight in this episode - I think at least in Abe's case that's because his head is in la la land right now).
But I can't help but feel they are a bit TOO cocky in their skills. Agreeing to take on this group without a heck of a lot of info on who they are, how many there are, how they are armed, their defenses, etc. is pretty careless.

Jesus: I checked out your arsenal. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. You're well equipped.
(Rick struggles to keep the smug grin off of his face)...was he talking about Rick's junk?
