I don't know. Due to the oddball writing, it's like sometimes these guys are ninjas and sometimes they're buffoons and the examples of both are numerous, even with the present episode.
Ex: why wouldn't you have 1-2 people trailing behind on the way to the Jesus camp as a security element to keep watch and aid if there are any signs of things going bad? On every outing there should be at least one person dedicated purely to security nothing else.
