It's the attitude you must have if you're going to take down a figure like Negan.
And thats the bottom line. Rick's primary thought process use to be keeping his people in good shape. He went from thinking that the only way to do that was to do what Negan said, to now, knowing that he has got to kill Negan. As I said before, season was a bit slow, but next season has the potential to be bad arse.

1. When Rick tells Negan he is gonna kill him and everyone on his side, it made me want him to die. How fricking dumb can you be to have all those guns pointed at you and your boys head tee'd up to play a little pepper to just think that you are gonna get out of this?
He didn't have another move at that point. What else do you do? Just let him beat your kid's head in without trying anything? He was probably hoping he would kill him in anger instead of Carl.
I totally agree with your other points.

I just can't believe that Rick didn't want to get some of that landfill pussy

Ever pull a grilled cheese sandwich apart at the corners?

So I'm going to guess that since it appears Sasha is in a van or truck, that when Negan goes to pull her out to force Rick into opening the gates, she is dead which Negan won't be expecting.
good call

I'm not disappointed that Negan is still alive, but I am that Simon didn't get eaten by that f'ing Tiger.
At least one of those F'er's should have died between Simon, Negan, Dwight, the trailer trash gang leaders.
Not one meaningful POS died. They started the war and blatantly didn't finish it so you and I show back up during the season premiere to see how it all goes down.
I liked Carl's quick thinking there when Sasha came out of the casket. Very smart on his part and quick witted.
They keep hitting us with the deep philosophical concepts (i.e. sacrifice, suffering for others, Glenn's decision to help Rick and the subsequent chain of events that led to that day). But, I'm getting tired of it every year.
Ready for them to end these murderous thugs lives and begin to resolve by communities coming together as a collective whole to rebuild the world instead of destroying it further (while keeping their individual freedoms of course, lol)...
I figure that is where this is eventually going to lead in the comics also.
Series needs a new direction in terms of plot soon in my opinion.

Well, my guess is all of season 8 will be the war between Team Rick and Team Negan. It's been too much of plot point for them to wrap it up in a season premier or a 1/2 of a season.

Finale was good, not great.
Season was overall meh.
Agreed.
Agreed.
Although I suspect we have another FULL season of Saviors vs Alexandria, with another NEW group of folks.
Knowing these writers, it will be the same plot - i.e. - new faction of people is found, but this time they are stronger than everyone, saviors and everyone must join together to fight this new bigger threat
Season was overall meh.

If this happens I am done.
The ol' really bad guy becomes really good guy is played out across multiple venues. Dwight is a POS of full order. He is a murderer. He is filth. He knows it. I wish no ill upon anyone outside justice, but justice is precious in any world and he deserves his time. I don't want to see him become some loving member of the family. That rarely ever, ever happens in real life, ever.
Yes, it is time to begin reigning in the series to an end regardless of the comics--Closure is needed here and an end in sight.
I've followed the series closely since it's inception and it is time.

Unfortunately you are correct.
My family and I both saw this coming after last season(what you are insinuating will happen with the writing).
We said that if they keep dragging this shite out and don't begin to change direction along with giving the viewers a sense of an end, they will lose viewers. This season was one of the worse in terms of excitement and viewing pleasure. Just my opinion as many will disagree.

Season long slow buildup ends in a spectacular way! I was cheering!

there would still be people in this thread saying that they are still in a zombie apocalypse, which is right where the show started, therefore nothing happened in this episode.

Yeah, no. You people are too damn impatient. If they rush AOW, it'll be awful. It needs to last the entire season.

Megan and Dwight are wayyyyyy too important to die, especially this fast.

In relation to the comics they are definitely important I agree and I did say I was not upset Negan didn't die.
As for the filthy garbage pale group, their leaders could have gone; Simon and his mustache could have been snack food for Sheba/Shiva whatever the tigers name is.
Posted on 4/3/17 at 2:51 pm to reo45
I Was hoping garbage leader lady would die.
Posted on 4/3/17 at 2:53 pm to Cow Drogo
I literally LOL'd when the garbage people pulled up in garbage trucks.

well since they typically do a midseason break, it seems likely that the first 1/2 will be war with negan, ending in the midseason finale, and the 2nd half will start a new story arc and show the "new world" post saviors
