Did any of them die at a reasonable amount of time upon the arrival of another to have one of them become the only black guy? Tyrese left 2 black dudes. Bob left two. Noah was one of 3 or 4 for a while.

TWD Black Highlander Rules
1. There can be only one (eventually by the end of the show)
2. Don't overanalyze TWD Black Highlander Rules

Again, Glenn didn't have ammo.

There aren't as many zombies around Alexandria, but they're some brutal motherfrickers.

There's 24 page so I probably missed it...
...but it seems like the Alexandria group is giving Rick's group all the tough/dangerous jobs on purpose. The "construction boss" tell the leader that Big Red is better just seemed forced for Maggie's sake. It just appeared to be a staged.
I think they are putting Rick's group out in the dangerous parts of their world on purpose.

Yep, Rick even mentioned something along those lines in the previous episode, when he said how lucky the Alexandria people are. "Now they have us".

Rick & Michonne are the local police - a relatively "low risk" job.
Maggie is some sort of mayor's aide.
Eugene is the fix-it guy. He wouldn't have been on the run yesterday but Glenn insisted.
Sasha is in the lookout tower. I guess that's a "hard" job but she begged for it and is relatively safe unless there is a human attack.
Carol is a member of the red hat society.
I don't think they're intentionally giving the group harder jobs. Glenn is well-suited for scavenging missions so he's doing that. Abraham is huge so they put him on construction. It all makes sense to me.

I think Gabriel's motivation is simply that he's bat shite crazy. Everything about him in his talk with Deanna (and before from when he was ripping up the bible) seemed to indicate someone who was not firmly in touch with sanity.
I think Deanna at least suspected this- that's why the non-committal: "I have a lot to think about" while she ushers him out of the door.
For one thing, he wasn't providing any specific incidents or things they did. Just vague accusations of them being evil and putting themselves before the group if push came to shove (which that part is kinda true anyway).
I do think that Deanna's son getting killed might cause her to re-think things though. Plus, Rick's vaunted crew does no seem to doing all that well. So far, the group that was pretty much being led by Glenn lost 2 people and one pretty damned close to being gone. Darryl couldn't help Aaron save Buttons. Sasha acted like a loon at the party. Really, only Abe was successful. And heck if Rick ends up killing the doctor and they find out Carol is sneaking out guns, they wouldn't be coming off as the most awesome group ever come to save the town.

I know everyone is assuming that Nicholas is alive, but I just rewatched and they did not show him again after Glen told Eugene to help get him in the back. I think they may have a twist to the story and he will be in one of the graves.

Could be true, but then who was eugene pointing the gun at in the van on the way back?
Posted on 3/16/15 at 1:18 pm to tiger_nurse
Yeah that's a good point. I'm just trying to think of something different considering they didn't show him. I don't know why glen would let him live

If i am remembering correctly, didnt they show Eugene in the back of the van holding a gun on someone, you have to assume that he is holding it on Nicholas if so, they even said as much on Talking Dead after.

The more I think about it, the more I think that's a major theme in this show. You're not always gonna get out of situations that you necessarily should have. I think that just emphasizes how dangerous times in the ZA are. You can get stuck in a revolving door and die, that simple.

I doubt that leader lady is going to take what Gabriel said to heart. He obviously had the crazy eyes and the group is doing a good job of proving themselves. The only "issue" that may come up is when Glenn returns and has to tell Deanna that Spencer is dead. That might end up looking bad on them.

it looked like he was chasing glen in the previews for next week.

Oh ok well that makes sense then. His story wont line up with the others, which times perfectly with Gabriel ratting the group out. The senator lady is going to have to make an executive decision for her people or chaos is bound to happen.

Who would really need to be "dealt" with should the group have to take over? Congress woman, alcoholic abusive dad, fat lady who collect guns? I have seen no one that would be much of an issue should Rick walk into the middle of the town and announce himself King of Alexandria. It's not a trap by the existing citizens as the son impaled on the shelf would have given it away in some fashion. These people just suck terribly and Rick and company are now the "bad" guys. Like I said last night, it's an entirely different take because it poses the qustion: Can two groups of "good" people coexist in a post apocalyptic community? Answer appears to be no.
Alexandria is the Garden of Eden filled with a bunch of individuals that have eaten the forbidden fruit so to speak. They are all tainted and it is impossible they can coexist, though they need eachother to make it. This society, which is a beacon of hope and survival is enjoyed for 3 days before humanity spoils it. They are planning a civil war after the first week. The more I think about this season the more I am blown away.
