Tyrese has made stupid decisions like that on the show all along.

He's not irrational...just "complicated" and "values oriented"

there was a body on the bed, zombie behind the door, and dead mom in front room. i think Tyrese thought all were accounted for

Perhaps....it will be interesting to see if the show favors the ruthless and self-serving or the do-gooders as the victors in the end

Wow, what a terrible episode. Not the worst ever, but definitely up there.

I read most of the thread, and agree with a lot of points. Most importantly the black highlander ones...it is absolutely hilarious how this show seems to literally have a max limit of black people/dudes.

Hate to see Cutty go, but I won't miss him. He became a liability anyway with the way he straight up refused to do what was necessary most of the time (gets points for offing Bob for his sister though).

The hallucinations were stupid IMO, and didn't make much sense for a character that we don't really know much about.

On the time issue though, I will say that there wasn't that much time between him being bitten and them getting there...the other stuff was just happening simultaneously.

I did think it was hilarious that a crippled Noah kept outrunning everybody over and over.

And before someone jumps in and accuses me of only liking fast paced blood and gore episodes, that's not true at all. I love the emotional episodes as well as ones that give us solid backstory on characters. But this was neither IMO. And Cutty wasn't a good enough character to deserve this sort of send off. He's been not only a liability, but he's also not smart at all. He makes dumb decisions and always seems to have his guard down. I mean, Noah straight up said he has twin brothers, and tyrese heard walkers in the house. But instead of taking cared that, he stops and looks at pics and is so focused on it that he can't notice the walker snarling into the room and attacking him? And he can't fight off the other walker? It's weird, one episode he's a beast and the next he can't even fend off a fragile walker.

Weird episode. And not a good kind of weird.

He knew he was in trouble when he saw the pic of the two brothers

I just don't think the episode fit with normal Walking Dead styles. I woulda rather seen the storyline progress than see the hallucinations. May have worked with a more important character. Or one I cared about more. I cheered when he got bit.

He was dead the second he got bit. Amputation or not. No way he could survive on the run with a bloody stump.

I will say this is what will polarize the episode.

Many of the other TWD dead forums have loved the hallucinations, but that's why I like coming to this one the most. Differing opinions.

ETA: most other boards have this episode around 8/10

Mom on the ground in the living room
Someone locked in the bathroom(?)
Kid on the bed

He didn't think that there was anyone left. The kids or mom must have had a friend over when shite went down.

Does anyone else think the hallucinations were caused by the amount of blood he lost and he was barely conscious at that point?

Hated the episode. Did not advance the story at all except for proving Tyreese is a moron. Hopefully, they needed the budget for later in the season. It felt like a filler. I can't believe this was a mid-season opener.

Definitely a great episode.

I'm glad they finally got rid of this Tyrese character. He had served his purpose.

They fulfilled Beth's wish to take Noah home and decided to move on to DC. That's not advancing the story?

Yes. The whole episode (well at least after the bite) he was near death.

His house clearing skills are poor.

By this time in he should know that you should check every room, you don't clear a house and stop just a couple rooms in to look at family pics.
