I really liked Rogue One and the Mandilorian.

The Mandalorian is really good. Simple and damn good. Reminds me of episode 4 in that regard.

I am as conservative as they come. I got back from the movie. I am actually shocked.

I really enjoyed the movie.

I should have been suspicious when the critics gave Episode IX initial bad reviews....as opposed to the glowing reviews for the Last Jedi.

The white man sacrifices himself ( like any real man would) to save the girl whom he loved and got to kiss her before he died. That was actually a beautiful scene. It is no wonder why the Lefty critics would despise it.

Even the Lesbian kiss ( I had no problem with it) looked completely forced as if the film-makers were made to include it at gunpoint...I would expect the Alphabet people to be furious about this.

This is going to take me a while to read through this thread, but I enjoyed ROS a lot

Obviously it had a lot of things that could have been done differently or better, plus had some cleaning up to do, but having JJ back really helped end on a strong note imo.

Visually amazing location settings (water world, the sith planet, plus Tatooine ), and the Han cameo was awesome. Handled Fisher’s CGI as well as could be expected, and got back to what I’d imagine most fans were hoping to see.

It definitely felt rushed, like a whole lot of shite (and travel ) happened very quickly, but it all worked well enough for me.

After all is said and done, I kind of have a feeling this is almost more of a Palpatine saga than a Skywalker one, but I digress

No clue what the reviews or feelings are in this yet, so no clue if I’m in the minority or not, yet

Sorry if everyone hates it

One thing that hit me watching this one, we’ve all always joked about how storm troopers are horrible shots, but this one it finally occurred to me that their armor is fricking awful

I don't care what you said.

She was 5-6, regardless of your idea of how she was "so young."

Anakin was a damn good pilot well before he was 9.

At the end of the day, your point fails.

They better be Canon or you're going to trigger a few of these people.

The Marvel Vader comics are canon. 2017 series is way better than 2015.

You are correct. Thanks. So, I guess its official. Palpatine gets around.

To be fair, most are by morons who keep feeding the displaced troll rather than just ignoring him as they should be. They keep trying to win an argument like they are having a conversation with a rational person.

In the comics, that scene implies he impregnated her by manipulating the force to create life, not by doing it the normal way. Normal way means everybody is a Palpatine.

And for the record I enjoyed the movie overall. Yes there were some things it seemed they forced in or could have been in place in the other movies prior, but the saga is over and they did a good job in my opinion the way they ended it.

I was going no matter what because of my kids and have yet to miss an Star Wars on opening weekend. Just glad this film exceeded my expectations. Did not take much but a solid film.

There is also a lot of backstory on Vader’s castle. It was built to be a conduit for the Dark Side. I recommend reading the 2017 series. Easy to find online for free

Thanks for the recommendation. I may look into it. There is just too much stuff to follow so I try to limit it to canon.

I never said that. Lol. I was destined to watch regardless. Some things from childhood are hard to let go haha.

I apologize, I wasn’t replying directly to you, but I do agree with you 100%.

I said for months, all these people who are saying they won’t see it will see it, because they’re already invested. Now they may not like it, but they’ll see it just for a resolution.

I also think there is a pretty large percentage that don’t like the movie for the simple fact that they had already determined they wouldn’t like it and they’ve been acting and building on that for two years.

Sure plenty to nit pick in ROS but overall it brought warm feelings to my heart
Had they shown the force ghosts power up Rey (especially Anakin);and had Ben and Rey dueled the rejuvenated Sheev to Duel of the Fates instead of lightning reflection(he should have figured out this weakness by now) it'd be a 9/10 for me
Duel of the Fates remix

Definitely some missed opportunities. Not a great movie or remotely close to great. I wonder how much the forced timeline for production affected things like that. With more time, perhaps some great ideas are considered/thought of.
