This is why I love this game. You HAVE to play two or three moves ahead or you will be left behind. The coaches can't think primarily of their team and positioning their team for a victory because they themselves would become vulnerable.

Although I think it's a rather shitty situation for the coaches because they need start playing a certain game (coaches position absolved) before the situation even happens.

Hope that all makes sense. It did in my head but looks downright retarded in print. If you can't agree with my above statements I'll let you agree with the following: Ian is a weird fricking dude.

I don't see how this would work unless they let all the coaches play the game though. Otherwise the smart coach would get all his players voted out so they could get in the game and play for the $500k instead of the $100k.

At what point would they let the coaches back into the game? It would be rather easy to pit the new players against the coaches if they have the #'s advantage. Target the coaches and get them out.

Except that the coaches are "safe" until their all of their team gets voted out (if I understand this hypothetical situation correctly). It seems like the best thing to do would be to keep one or two of your "team" around for a while as your "shield" since the coaches aren't eligible for eviction as long as their team survives but maneuver them out the door closer to the end so that you can start playing. Maybe it's a bigger risk of not being eligible for the $500k but, if you f- it up at least you could get $100k as a consolation prize if one of them wins.

True, but the coaches would also have all the info about secret teams and alliances so maybe they'd have some kind of advantage on the information front. Perhaps they could use that info as a wedge to come between the new players?

Just some snippets from a Reality BBQ live feed thread regarding coaches entering. This happened a little while ago.

quote:

Janelle - I'm nervous of Joe getting upset and asking me if I knew about getting into the game and I'm just gonna be like bc of my contract, I didnt think I would be able to

quote:

Brit - I hope they let me view my contract today as requested.

This came from a long conversation between the two of them.

I think Jenelle and Brit are just guessing they will be part of the game and not mentors. I dont think they know for sure. They are tryng to figure out moves in advance just in case. Remember they have played the game before and know how CBS works the show, they have also mingled with the desicion makers at CBS at after parties and have picked their brains. They also keep in touch with most other Big Brother cast between seasons and get scoop on if one was called or approached by cbs to play. Also these new players are still so just happy to be in the house they are not thinking much in terms of 4 weeks down the road, or twists etc like the mentors. All they have guessed at is they think Ian is Americas Player because he does some weird stuff.

CBS can change the game today in any way, to however they think ratings will be best. Just like when in seasons past they bring back evicted guests. Do you think CBS said before the show started that in week 9 who ever is evicted he/she comes back? No, its done because they want to keep their best TV players.

If CBS sees that Dan and Boogie are about to go home and lose their teams, they will do what they need to to keep them if they think they are for best ratings.

Also by putting the mentors in the game it creates high drama, players will have to scramble for new alliances, new lies, new tricks etc. Twists keep the game from getting stale and change up the flow.

My thought is at least (2) mentors come in to play the game and the team aspect is eliminated after (2) mentors and their teams are eliminated, this would leave no more than 8 players left but probably fewer in the game.

Brittney and Danielle were discussing the south on Showetime and agreed that Louisiana isn't the south despite being located in the south. They said they are all Cajun which is different than the south. They had this discussion in the hot tub so I guess it's all good.

Danielle also said that she doesn't consider Atlanta, Florida and NC as the south FTR.

Britney "The high school's nickname in my town is the Rebels."
Dan "Have they changed to the Blackbears yet?"

I don't think anyone knew what he was talking about.

false. people from the western part of LA are usually cajun. People from New Orleans and south eastern part of LA are usually creole

Cajun-French speaking exiles from Nova Scotia, exiled by england. moved to louisiana because that was the only place where they were welcomed

Creole-French immigrants who traveled to America, and were the first Europeans in Louisiana

I agree with this 100%! Which I typically do not mind considering it benefits players that I like (Jeff). I can see whatever they do benefitting Dan somehow. He is well liked and a really good player, just got a shitty draw and shitty comp for week one. I can see the black girl who left coming back as well. Talk about shitty luck.

I seriously doubt that. She was boring. I know she didn't have time to make an impact but that's how it goes.

Yeah, I get that part of it. Older moms and/or blacks never do well in BB. Two strikes for her!

I just feel like she got a raw deal!

Add fat people to that list and I don't know why she even unpacked her things!

No doubt that CBS manipulates this game for ratings, however, I don't see them letting the mentors play for the $500K prize. The network would take too much shite for letting the mentors in the main game after they were never subject to nomination for eviction.

Instead, at the point where one of the mentors has lost all of his/her team, CBS will probably allow for a "draft" of some sort or a re-picking of teams to keep all of the mentors in play. This would create more drama by placing former alliance members against each other as well as possibly putting former mentors against each other (and each side would know the others previous strategy).

So much has changed tonight. I've never seen so much gaming in the first week before. Willie has made alliances with everyone as he is not working with Janelle anymore. Not sure why. Brit is angry at janelle. So that is fading.

The talk about mentors coming back is in the whole house. Or most of it. Britany is pissed because if they do it's not a surprise. Janelle is trying to spin it and say in their contracts they can only win 100k not the full 500k for winning BB. Willie wants a whole house meeting to get this info out to everyone.

Wil with one L, is crying cause Willie was making gay comments about him and the way he talks etc. so the whe house wants Willie out. Willie was doing this behind his back.

I have no idea who is with who. Everyone is promising everyone their vote, on their side, it's panic mode in house.

Should be a good after dark. No fights. Just strategy.

Listening to BBAD, it seems like Willie is paranoid as frick, and making deals with everyone and anyone right now.

That's what you get for going balls deep the first week I guess.
