You thought they’d come back another way? And it wasn’t without consequences. Half of the population is 5 years older. People still had to die. It didn’t fix everything with a perfect happy ending.

The hyperbole involving that scene is hilarious

i mean it was forced and corny no doubt, but that stuff is littered all over comic book movies. it almost really isn’t worth mentioning females can be badass superheroes. it was like 30 seconds

They tried I’ll give them that. Explaining that time isn’t linear and messing with time creates multiple realities is good enough for me. It’s one of the better explanations out there tbh. The reality we see isn’t affected because the stones get replaced. But new realities now exist. It’s not like two Steve Rogers were out there at once with one in the ocean and another living the quiet life with Peggy. Two separate worlds there.

I get why people mention it. I just don’t get why people focus on it.

Well, yes. As did many many people. I didn’t see time travel being promoted as some leading theory of what they were going to do in this film and I’m just usually not a fan of that route due to the paradoxes and plotholes it introduces.

The only other option was getting the stones back and snapping in the “present”. It would basically take you on the same journey as IW. No thanks.

Just had some grown arse man straight crying his eyes out during the latter half of the movie.

There were certainly some emotional moments. No one balled in mine that I know of. But I’m sure some tears rolled down faces.

I heard some other people sniffling, but this guy was balling.

2014 Thanos jumped to 2023 and died there, so the original snap never happens in any other timeline except 2023 because 2014 Thanos is the end of the line. He no longer exists after that correct?
In 2014 there’s a reality split. The one we know where Thanos succeeds. And a second one where Nebula inadvertently tells Thanos the future. At that point, a new reality/universe exists that Isn’t a part of this story.

If there’s one unanswered question for me it’s 2014 Gamora. Did Tony snap her too? I’m assuming so but don’t understand why.

I think she just disappeared after, since Quill was searching for her with the ship’s system.

Question: at tony starks funeral when they pan to each group of characters from their own movies, who was the one kid standing behind the cast from captain America? He was standing alone and looked to be about 16/17. Looked kind of like Robert Pattinson from twilight haha. Who was that?

Apparently the kid that helped Tony in iron man 3? I don’t remember the movie enough to confirm.

My guess (and I just thought of it as I read your question) is that he's the kid who helped him in IM3.

Saw the movie last night, it was great but not as good as IW. There were slow spots where they had to build something up, but being a 3-hour movie means there was a loooot of them.

When the GPM (Girl Power Moment, it's a working title) happened, the wife told me later it was all she could do to not yell out "WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO? MAKE HIM A SANDWICH?"

That scene was so gratuitous and forced that it took me completely out of what was otherwise a truly epic battle. If they had done it with just one, two or three other females then that would have been one thing as it would have felt more organic. But ALL of the female leads/supports just happening to be close enough in this massive and chaotic conflict to band together like that?

A woman who truly feels equal doesn't need to make grand declarations like that. It felt far more like an attempt to mask a deep-seeded insecurity. The ladies doth protest too much, methinks.

What happened to the “humans can’t touch the stones without dying/madness” that we saw in GoTG 1?

And beyond touching them, why didn’t Tony just snatch the stones on Titan in IW the same way he did in endgame?

That was the power stone. That’s an immeasurable amount of raw energy. The Aether was in Jane Foster, Loki and Carol both held the Tessaract, the Mind stone was physically a part of Vision, I’m sure someone physically touched the time stone at some point, and no one had seen the soul stone in who knows how long.

Makes sense. I could see Carol or Loki holding a stone like I could Strange or Thor- I just had an issue with Clint holding one- but I see what you're saying. I had forgotten about Jane Foster.

Because that was an iron man gauntlet in endgame. Tony designed it with quick release points.

I just made that up but its plausible enough.
