The hand to hand combat in this film should be awesome. Can't wait.

I own the hardback Deadpool Classics. It covers his first appearance and a number of other early issues before Deadpool was a parody character. I can tell you with certainly that Deadpool started off as nothing more than a dime a dozen anti-hero. He is inspired by Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Deathstroke. You can see it clear as day reading through the early stuff. It was such 90's cheese.
Also, back to original topic, are we getting an aged and gruff Deathstroke to counter the aged and gruff Batman or will Deathstroke be his younger counterpart?

Holy shite never happen but would be most epic thing ever. Whole movie never see DeathStroke's face then big reveal at the end is Reynolds with Deadpool Scars. A boy can dream.

That would actually be a solid choice. They have to be sure whomever they cast can be a physically intimidating, non-super powered, match for the Bat. Manganiello is 6'5 and Affleck is 6'4.

Younger. Hence the need for Dick Grayson to help

What if Deathstroke had tiny feet?

The real question now is what is Joker's future in the DCU moving forward? Do they just keep him as a minor character? Seems kind of a waste. Didn't they sign Leto to a 3 movie deal?

me too. But how would they fit it in?
I guess they are running thin on villains, as I don't really recall deathstroke in any batman comics I read.
I guess the ventriliquist and mad hatter are too stupid, and killer croc isn't deep enough for a movie. Maybe hugo strange?

I'm ok with never seeing Leto's Joker again. I'm Joker'd out

Red Hood and Hush are heavy hitters that are missing.

The Court of Owls would be absolutely amazing if done right.
Eta: They could open with a flashback scene of Lauren Cohan reciting this to young Bruce:
"Beware the Court of Owls, that watches all the time,
Ruling Gotham from a shadowed perch, behind granite and lime.
They watch you at your hearth, they watch you in your bed.
Speak not a whispered word about them, or they'll send the Talon for your head."

Red Hood would have to cover a lot of ground that's never been touched in film.

Well, they've already touched upon it in BvS. All they need is a flashback to where Joker kills Robin. Don't see what else you need to set up that they already haven't.

quote:There'll be plenty of time for that. Red Hood has been told so many times, the surprise aspect for it is gone. They'll have to find a unique way to do it. They tried to in that game and it was incredibly lackluster. I want to see it, but it'll be interesting to see how they do it. Affleck has said recently that he doesn't want to do something where people will already know everything going in. Him saying that may disappoint some people.
Red Hood and Hush are heavy hitters that are missing.
Either way, I love Deathstroke, so I'm very happy about this.
ETA: I also personally believe that it's possible they were going to try to tell it with Red Hood as the new Joker, but everyone called them out on it and hated the idea, so they scrapped it. There's no proof of that nor am I 100% sure, I just think there's a good possibility.

Speaking of deathstroke, do yourselves a solid and play this fight from Arkham Origins.
Easily the best fight in all 4 Arkham games.
