jesus who gives a shite? It'll make what it makes. Why the frick is there fighting with someone who hates the movie over this?
basically what Freauxzen said.
I want DC movies to have an extended universe like Marvel currently has. I want the future Shazam movie to actually happen and be linked to that DCEU.
Unfortunately for me, that flick isn't supposed to drop until 2019 and if this movie doesn't do well enough there is a good chance the entire DCEU lineup will get reshuffled or worse, completely scuttled.

Really, b didn't kill s because his mom had the same name?
I can't describe how lame that is.

Neither could Kevin Smith, who said it was an "okay" movie.

Well, it's not as bad as what we were thinking:
I think it's going to make enough money for the studio to see the potential in the series but at the same time understand some changes need to happen. That is my wish.

The only good news is that the second weekend for Warner Bros.’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice isn’t any worse than what we expected, but a tad better with an industry FSS of $51.2M after seeing a $22.2M Saturday, +45% over Friday’s $15.3M. The concern here was that BvS’ second sesh was going to sink into the higher $40M range. Currently, that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen with many predicting a -35% hold on Sunday over Saturday. The fact that BvS increased Saturday isn’t unusual. Many tentpoles experience surges in their second Saturdays vs. Fridays. Furthermore, most films in the top 10 on Saturday saw upticks of 13% to 48%.

Sure, the coincidence of both Batman and Superman's mothers' being named Martha might just be due to an oversight in the DC writing room decades ago, but it made a basic connection that sparks Bruce Wayne's empathy towards the Man of Steel. Bruce Wayne realizes that Clark Kent has the best intentions, and like him, just wants to prevent his mother's death. While it was too late for Martha Wayne, this feeling ultimately led to Bruce Wayne returning to why he became Batman in the first place: not to punish criminals, but to prevent tragedies like the one that scarred him for life. After that encounter and witnessing Superman selflessness during the fight with Doomsday, Batman has a renewed faith in other costumed heroes

So Starz had Big Hero 6, GotG, and Ant-Man on yesterday and it just highlighted for me how bad this movie was. Or, in better terms, how much better this movie should have been. In all three of the above mentioned movies, characters drive the stories. In BvS they tried to let the action drive the story. You have the 3 of the greatest super heroes in comic book history and you invested very little into them interacting with each other other than when they are fighting.

I tried watching it again to see if maybe I would enjoy it more than the first time. I didn't. Maybe I'm in the minority but Ant Man is by far the worst film in the MCU for me.

I thought Corey Stoll and Douglas were good

The acting is fine, the movie is just way too cheesy for me. The scenes with ants are just cringeworthy

For me, what made Ant-Man great were the actors in it. Paul Rudd and Michael Pena are hilarious. Is it an Oscar worthy movie? No. It's just a simple, fun, hilarious adventure. I found myself enjoying the shite out of it, and sometimes that's all a film needs to be.

Boxofficemojo.com has it at 52 million this morning. That's an 82% drop from weekend to weekend. That's including the "midnight" showings.

It's running about $2 million over from where the $50 million estimate

It's a 68% drop (still horrible) but not as high as 82. I'm not sure where you're getting that number from.

Warner Bros. Pictures‘ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice added $52.4 million domestically its second weekend to take its total to $261.5 million. While it will be reported that this is a big 68% drop, last weekend’s $166.1 million opening did have the $27.7 million from Thursday previews included. Internationally, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earned $85 million this weekend for an overseas total of $419.8 million and a worldwide total of $681.3 million after a week and a half, including $85 million from China. In comparison, the Zack Snyder-directed Man of Steel earned a total of $668 million worldwide in 2013.
Bad, but not atrocious.

Sorry, I was looking at the Friday to Friday drop in the headline. They have not updated the headline story to reflect the weekend numbers (still reflects the Friday numbers).

Not really.
I have followed BO numbers long enough to know how they typically go. Weekend 3 should be roughly half of what this weekend does. Holds like we saw with Titanic or Avengers are rare and this flick has none of the indicators that lean towards those. I'll go ahead and predicted $25-28 million for next weekend.

That's pretty bold for a superhero movie that opened at the end of March
