Disney made an official statement to confirm Obi-Wan Kenobi has become the most-watched Disney+ series globally, based on the number of hours streamed in the debut weekend.

Following the premiere, viewership of Star Wars titles tripled in hours watched throughout the opening weekend

Let’s revisit this once everyone realizes the show is about the black female and not Obi Wan or Vader at all

Here we go for the gaslighting.

It's becoming rather pathetic.

Their tweet about people being racist is more indicative of the true sentiment. If it's so immensely successful why are they tweeting about the tiny tiny group of people that will always exist? How do those people get selected for calling out amongst the "record smashing" audience?

They counted hours watched for two episodes and compared it to other shows that only released one. Every person who watched both was double counted. That is some tricky shite there.

Really? Because off the top of my head, I remember them releasing Hawkeye and Wandavision's first 2 episodes the first weekend as well.

Pretty sure they released the first 2 of The Mandolorian the first weekend as well, but by all means carry on.

Go read the article. It says that Hawkeye and WandaVision are the only comparable releases, but I can't tell you if that is indeed true. It says that hours streamed is the metric they are using. The Mandolorian series had shorter episodes, so even if more people watched, it could come in lower in comparison.

Did you?

What's unclear about this statistic is whether Disney is including both of the two premiere episodes in its total number of hours streamed in the opening weekend

If Disney is counting both of the debut episodes,

So, if Disney was including both episodes in its statistic,

Did you read the article?

I did. From your link:

quote:

If Disney is counting both of the debut episodes, then this statistic is far less impressive than it may first appear, as only two other major Disney+ originals have premiered with more than one installment on the same day. WandaVision debuted with 103 minutes across three episodes, Hawkeye delivered 102 minutes, and Obi-Wan Kenobi offered 98 minutes.

Important to not the "If", though

You should probably watch at least one episode. Not sure who told you that Obi Wan wasn't the main focus of this thing.

No they don't. The Russian Ministry of Defense says they've lost 1,351 as of their last release.

The Moscow Times and the BBC Russian Service says that number is really 3,052.

Wut?

You put a whole lot of stock in "If", "Possibly", and "Unclear" when you think it suits your narrative, huh?

Can't say I'm surprised.

Like that scene in The Other Guys. The Lion/Tuna scene.

Ends with Will Ferrell saying "Did that go the way you thought it was gonna go? Nope."
