My criteria for a good Bond theme song:

1. Trippy and/or foreboding music & instruments.
2. A voice that pairs well with that.

I like this a lot.

That's why I didn't think people should have been freaking out over Eilish doing the Bond theme.

She's not my thing, but she's not a bad option for this sort of thing.

Adele still wins for me. I don't think that's a popular opinion, but her pipes do something for me.

Sounds fine. Doesn't really stand out.

But I'm partial to the one Chris Cornell did. You Know My Name.
It has a few changes in beats and gets loud.

It's a perfectly adequate Bond theme. The music is dead on. The vocals are OK.

1. Good music
2. Good lyrics
3. Mediocre vocals

It will be remembered as a middling theme song. It's not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, even managing to exceed my expectations, but it's also not that great of a Bond theme. Hans Zimmer's music definitely gives it more strength than it would have had without it. I just can't get behind the sound of Billie Eilish's voice. She has a limited range and I feel like you need a powerful voice to successfully create a good Bond theme. It's not one of the worst Bond songs, but it's also no where close to the upper tier.

Wait, there are people out there that think Adele didn't crush her Bond song?

I do not enjoy her other music, but this is a good Bond song. Well done.

That's a top notch Bond theme song. Most on the Music Board seem to despise her but she is talented and that is no doubt a good Bond song. Most of them are not that great.

That's a Bottom 5 Bond theme song easily

Makes me worried about the film itself now

Barring Spectre's theme the new ones have all been pretty solid IMO.

This one isn't horrible but there's just no buildup or anything. Just very flat.
