I like Wes Anderson but at this point I really want to see him make just one non-Wes Anderson movie.

I’m all in on Wes.

This also looks at the same time like a complete parody of his style.

Will see opening night.

I've often wondered if he could do this just to do it, and see how it goes.

But instead he just gets more and more him with every film, caricatures almost.

So this is like the later years of Woody Allen where everyone was rushing to make a movie w/ him? I need to watch Asteroid City and go from there.

So did Asteroid City. This is just who he is. Seems like he'd want to try something different eventually. As much as I've enjoyed them, I haven't really felt emotionally invested in a Wes Anderson movie since The Royal Tenenbaums

Grand Budapest Hotel is one of my favorite movies. To me, that will always be the peak performance for his style and storytelling.

Yeah it just has everything and a better plot. Just so fun to watch all the way every time.

My personal favorite is probably The French Dispatch. Love all the shorts and love his tribute to old school creatives and beat reporters. Probably a world that never really existed but somehow feels like it did.
