This is the absolute worst kind of nostalgia crap too, it's utterly phony.

If the actually got the original cast together and they were the main focus of the show somehow and the show had the same look and feel and tone, it would be a blatant nostalgia cash in but at least would share DNA with the original.

This POS is just lazily leveraging the Saved by the Bell brand name and is really just another generic 2020 high school show, aka it's just all white guilt and LGBT bullshite.

I feel like someone must point out what a freak of nature Mario Lopez is. And I mean that in the most heterosexual way possible.

Also, on the podcast yesterday they mentioned Mr Dewey and Mr Belding being around 40 at the time of filming during the first season.

Wow. That is worse than I imagined. The only part I even laughed at was that last joke "When I grow up I wanna be just like you. A single adult who parties with kids."

Outside of my caring zone, I never watched the original one, so I can only guess - how is this remotely a good idea?

That's the vibe I've gotten from the trailers I've seen so far. I haven't watched the show yet though...I think part of me doesn't want to because I know how awful it will be.

No the joke is about rich kids trying to take credit for the donation, the joke is mocking them, but Twitter didn't like it, it's being edited out apparently.

To be fair, the way this show seems to be set up, it's EXACTLY the kind of show that would cater to the whims and desires of social media, and would remove shite that was accused of being hateful or not representing of certain demographics. That's the corner it painted itself in when it went hardcore, all-in on SJW bullshite.
