Damn horrible.

Was looking for a fun mindless comedy, because how can you go wrong?

Well it went wrong. Totally unfunny characters and writing.

David Spade's character is a mix of an angry, dimwitted, clueless version of Joe Dirt with a Boston accent. Odd mix.

The main character, his son, acts and looks dorky and is so bland of a character.

Story wasn't interesting at all and didn't even follow a path, it was all over the place.

Save yourself an hour and a half on this.

I've seen funnier and more entertaining people in everyday life than David Spade, never understood how he "made it".

Spade was the perfect compliment to Farley. Joe Dirt was so out there and ridiculous that it worked. Spade's Farley movies and Joe Dirt set him up forever

He does well enough playing off talent in a supporting role. He just doesn’t have it as a leading man.

Joe Dirt is probably the lone exception

It wasnt that bad. It was far from good, but it was better than some recent Happy Madison stuff. It had a hint of actually having something that could be good as compared to the other stuff that just makes you wonder who ever said yes to that.

I thought “the do-over” was some good mindless comedy. On Happy Madison movies, the “Ridiculous 6” was mostly meh but the baseball scene was absolutely hilarious

It was a bad Adam Sandler movie with Spade acting like an Adam Sandler character. Plus the shoehorned coming of age/off to the real world story was a waste of time. Should have been more raunchy.

Yeah it looked like a weird Joe Dirt-esque thing and I skipped it. I like Spade as a supporting character, but he's not a strong enough personality to be a lead, imho.

there are lots of famous guys who look better than David Spade and have better careers who don't have his notches on the bed

It's really strange. He has been with top notch women.

Spade is someone who I have literally always liked/loved, but admit that he's never consistently put out worthwhile, quality stuff. The only exception is that I do love Rules of Engagement and thought he was solid on that show (and it went 7 seasons I believe). But he didn't carry the show and was just a part of a solid cast for the most part.

It's weird that he's remained sort of relevant in Hollywood. I guess he can thank Sandler for that.

Enjoyed it about as much as Joe Dirt. It’s a David soade movie. What’s your expectation?
