I just finished and I thought for sure it would have been staff at the school. The Mom seems like she is an alcoholic wack job. I think she most likely was loaded when texting all that shite.

The mom in complete denial and like whatever. Bizarre and she deserved more time in jail I believe. The daughter will be scarred for life although she wants to love her mom like she should.

Personally I think she was lonely, seeking attention, and obviously had mental issues. The main reason that made sense was it brought her closer to her daughter as she was able to constantly console her, be needed, and more meaningful in her daughters life.
Personally, I don’t think she had a fetish for the boy although it was odd she texted his out of town girlfriend. The biggest unanswered question was who started the initial texts. Mom swears she kept it going but wasn’t the initiator. Not sure what reason she has to lie at this point.

Also the stuff at the end…going to his sports games, cutting his steaks, him being creeped out by it…seems like they should have investigated her sooner. I mean if I’m doing that investigation why not start with the parents and work your way out? I mean it might seem offensive but if your not guilty you’d probably cooperate. Especially when you factor in the tech background. That one sheriff did NOT exercise all his resources like he said. He didn’t even interview everyone close to her!! That’s like step 1
