I still don't go with the screaming comments with Jacquie. That's the feel of the song...the emotion.
Jacquie shows lot's of talent when she does so well even with the songs her coach picks. It speaks very highly for her ability as a vocalist.
It will be fun to watch next week.

Can't wait for CeeLo to be gone next season. Has he made a single substantive comment ever to any singer after a performance. Literally adds nothing to the show.
And Shakira is an upgrade over CA. Every post-performance comment by CA is an endless babbling that usually ends up more about CA than the performer.
(Yes, the mere fact I watch this show means I should turn in my man card. My wife started watching it and I got sucked in last season.)

Singing with emotion =/= screaming into a microphone.
The beginning of Jacquie's second performance had her sounding good...she seemed to be reeling it in a bit. And then she got into the chorus and started screaming again.
I'm not saying she isn't talented, but she definitely doesn't deserve to win IMO...she's not as good of a singer as Cole or James. Or even Tessanne really, in terms of talent and control.
I feel like Jacquie is sort of like that kid who graduates from high school and goes to the NBA...you can clearly see that they are talented, but it isn't as polished as it could be, and while you know they will one day be a star, for now they're just sort of raw and good (not great).

I said awhile ago JL would get old to listen too. I think I am there with her, but my guess is she makes the top three.
James and Cole are my top two.
Will and Tessanne will be next out, I hope! But I could see Tessanne getting into the finals over James. I dislike her and thought she should have left weeks ago, apparently voters think differently. Ugh.

Matthew went home... he and James were in the bottom 2 but James got the twitter save.
I just don't see the appeal in Tessanne... obviously I'm missing something. I accept that I'm not in the target demographic for this sort of show and certainly not part of the voting demographic but I'm usually pretty accurate guessing who is going to leave.

Tesseanne needs to be gone. I've already stated I'm not a fan of Jacquie's style of music and my wife now hates her for daring to do a Janis song.

Its not even a talent thing, hes just so damn awkward and never smiles. He isnt very appealing.
I think CA's song choices for Matthew did him in. The guy can sing with the best of them, but the songs have been pretty shitty the last couple weeks.

James need to bring the house down next week or he will be going home. I think he got sort of a pass this week with skating by being sick, so he has to rebound really well in order to stay IMO.

And whoever mentioned how terrible he was in the lower register hit it spot on. He's talented, but he can't hit anything in the lower register with any sort of power at all.

As the biggest Cole supporter this side of Shreveport, I'm absolutely loving this show.
However, of the people left, I think you could legitimately make a case that Jacquie, James, and Tessanne all have a higher ceiling than Cole (huge admission for me). But it's really his voice control that sets him apart to me. He is so damn solid every time out. He's not as dramatic or theatrical as James, or as loud and powerful as Tessanne and Jacquie, but damn if he doesn't keep pumping out strong performance after strong performance. The kid is a machine.

Been saying that for weeks. And the "bigger" the performances are getting, the worse he sounds because other things (more music, more background singers, etc.) are drowning him out even more. His low register is nonexistent.
