You guys might be discounting the teflon queen Tessanne and her fan base a tad too much. Where it comes from I have no idea. In all honesty, Will had a bit of a rough night and Adam helped him out with his comments, but it could get interesting. I hope Will stays.

I'm keeping Will for the top 4 only based on At Last and IF he survives last night.
I'm hopeful that Tessanne will go, but her fan base askeers me. I think the Jamaicans are voting.

ETA. I guess we're the only ones watching tonight Hog
I couldn't watch last night. Had too much going on at home, but saw some headline on Yahoo about Christina's outfit and came here to see what the fuss was all about. I'm disappointed y'all don't have a gif already, or are those reserved for Carson only?

The show is called "The Voice" and 16 years old or not, JL has shown much versatility with her voice and has done outstanding.
This is not about believability, but about the voice and singing ability. Experience doesn't have everything to do with being a great singer and performer. You don't have to live it to sing it.
It's all about opinions.

Let's put it this way, the week JL was asked to perform a softer song it was her worst performance of the season by far. I am not classifying her as a one trick pony, rather one that needs to expand and hone her craft. Like it not, believability is inherent in performance acceptance to many, and I didn't ascribe that to her singing CB due to the lyric content and being incapable of canceling the sounds of Janis Joplin renditions. If the performance had been stellar that would make some difference, but it wasn't. I didn't get into the James Wolpert commentaries regarding how he did or didn't sound like F Mercury on STL a few weeks ago as that is not what I'm listening for and he carried it off well enough, especially the second half of it.
I am not a big fan of having really young performers on these shows, and/or having duos on a show named The Voice, singular, not plural.

I thought Tessanne was maybe the best last night, she isn't going home.
I think/hope James is going home.

Catching up on last night's show now...
Cole. I like Rich Girl, but it's a pretty boring song in terms of Cole being able to shine. He sounds good though.
Tessanne, I just don't like still. I do think she did well with Redemption Song though.
Christina looks awesome.
Matthew was just okay. His low register is fricking nonexistent though, and that's bad, especially for how much he tries to sing in it. There's just no power there. And this performance is pretty boring.
Christina will be SO SAD if Matthew loses...nice vote of confidence, coach.
Some of these songs seem to be ending really awkwardly. It's weird.
Will. Awesome, awesome song...Sam Cooke is a badass. Awkward start to the performance. He sounds okay sometimes, but seems to be missing A LOT of notes. Sounds very sloppy. Coaches saying the same thing.
James. Meh. Very, very meh. He did a good enough job though I guess.
Jacquie. Her outfit looks stupid and makes her look fat. Hate the song choice too...it's just her scream singing (screanging..?) and falling to the ground just like she's done 37 times already.
CHRISTINA FREAK BOOB IS frickING BACK AND HAUNTING ME!! And obviously she has to go up on stage and hog the attention. Nice work, bitch.
I'm all in for thin Christina, but goddammit her fricking boobs are freaking me the frick out. When she walked up on stage, those things looked battery operated.
VERY disappointed in this first run through...hoe the second half picks up a lot.

Well, as predicted, Tessanne is safe. I was so hoping she was leaving.
I liked Kelly's song. I love Christmas songs. I ff'd through Silver Bells, though. I didn't see the first season, though I think I may have seen the end of it. That chick looked like she'd rather be getting a root canal than singing on this show. Either that or she hates Carson because she sure didn't react or crack a smile when he welcomed her back.
I think Will, James or Matthew will be hitting the road.
I'm good as long as Cole is still in. I've lost interest in the screaming Jacquie. She needs to tell CTina she wants to do something other than scream and, as Coco says, fall all over the floor. That stuff is old.

Second go round..
Cole sounded good. Better song choice this time. Christina "You sounded good, but one thing I did notice..." ...of course you did. She simply can't say something nice about Cole and stick to that.
Tessanne. Meh. Not bad, but not great.
Matthew. When a Man Loves a Woman...much better song choice for him this time. I still think he just sounds okay...doesn't sound as good and on-point as he normally does. He actually sounds exactly like what Christina told Cole...like he's been singing a lot and his voice is struggling because of it. Eat that, bitch.
Again...Christina has "great ideas..if we can hang in there" for Matthew. It's like she knows he's going home.
Will. Odd song choice. I kinda like it though. Infinitely better performance than his first one.
Jacquie. I like that the performance is more subdued...nice change of pace somewhat. She sounds kinda pitchy on her high notes though. I really feel like she's just screaming instead of singing now...it's like Christina just told her to be loud and it doesn't matter what it sounds like.
James. Nice song choice...could be epic if he nails it...............and he's not. He sounds okay, but he definitely sounds tired and out of breath. Adam saying he was sick...that at least makes a little sense. Keeps calling him "kid" though, and I fricking hate that.
Meh night overall. Nobody really stood out IMO.

I like Matthew more as a person than a singer. Seems like a good kid. I've enjoyed James on occasion. Maybe if he's not sick, he'll knock Tessanne out of the box.
Will is like the horse in the race who just keeps coming from behind.

Well, she hasn't done anything to change my mind. I don't enjoy the tone of her voice. She hasn't changed it or done anything to change my mind. Neither have you.
Your check is late again by the way.
