In the comics, every time Jane becomes Thor it makes her sicker.

She’ll harness the power doesn’t mean she’ll necessarily have it all movie. Probably something between She Venom from Venom and the family scene in Shazam.

Curious to see how much of a role Hemsworth has in this or if he’s moving on to GotG3.

There’s a huge comic arc with Jane as Thor. Come on folks.

The healing power of money. Natalie Portman has stated in the past that she was done with making Thor movies. I imagine when Marvel backs that dump truck full of cash up to your door step its hard to say no.

Though, as others have said, if we are going to get an alternate Thor then by golly lets get a Thor Thunder Frog movie.

I suspect that's a factor; however, you have to remember that Black Panther (rightly or wrongly) was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and Infinity War had the sort of emotional heft that you wouldn't expect from a "comic book" movie.

Not that her movie would be either of those most likely, but doing them is not "slumming" anymore.

Ali as Blade seems pretty promising as well.

Most of Marvel's Phase Four appears to be in Disney+

Not sure how I feel about that.

Yes, except everyone here is forgetting its Disney making the movie. It has to make the "family friendly" label, so they're not going to be able to fully do what must be done.

Now we know why she had that cameo in Endgame.

Fun fact: Portman's screentime in Endgame is from unused footage from Thor Dark World. She did very minor voice work and that's it

Learned that Portman is now 38

A female actress who was always “is it wrong to think she’s hot? How old is she?” For my early adult life is now pushing 40.

So it will never be creepy again. That’s what I take from this Thor nonsense.

Are people actually using the argument that because there’s source material to support this move, that means it’s not pandering ? Female Thor is notorious for some of the most cringeworthy panels of all time. The source material is the literal definition of pandering

Exhibit A

If the "source material" is a comic written after 2010, then it doesnt count as "source material" for me.

Disney can make up any source material they want by just forcing out the comic they want.
