An Affair to Remember

When the two leads meet IIRC they’re both involved with somebody else.

The Sound of Music

The captain is engaged to the baroness when he falls for Maria…who is a nun (cheating on God?)

Starting to notice that some of the movies that women consider to be the most romantic of all time involve cheating or stealing somebody else’s man.

This is exactly the point that started the conversation in my office today.

Wedding Crashers - Clair’s life probably sucked after she left Sak.

….sluts…..

Every single Christmas Lifetime movie. The girl with the high end marketing job and corner big city office always goes back home and bangs the local hero leaving her big city beau in the dust. Has never happened in real life.

Then you’re not married. You didn’t say it, you didn’t do it.

She sure did, but I think she gets a pass on the cheating thing. Bro one died, bro two (Pitt) left for years and told her to move on, then Bro three stepped in. Why she didnt just move back home as opposed to hanging out with Anthony Hopkins in the middle of nowhere was curious.

she didnt sleep with Samuel

but did she sleep with the Dad while the boys were gone? i say yes.

Does it count as cheating if the guy kills the girl first? Been watching a lot of the original little mermaid recently. Prince Eric is engaged to Ursulla/Vanessa, even if based on a lie he's still about to marry her, and is at the altar. Ariel gets her voice back and Eric immediately turns his back to his finance and tries to kiss Ariel.

Oops Not really a romance

I did happen to see that scene where Batman was nursing on that broad with the magnificent tits.

Seemed pretty romantic to me.

Came to say this. It completely glorifies cheating.

The book was popular shortly after I married. My mother-in-law raved about it and told me “every woman should read it!” I was confused by that suggestion to her sons new wife.
