Man Alan Rickman was so awesome. Just thinking of this list I thought of three just him! Hans, Snape and the sheriff of Nottingham.

Frank (Henry Fonda) from Once Upon a Time in the West.
We know nothing about him.
We know he killed Harmonica's brother.
We know he works for the railroad baron.
Who did he work for when he killed Harmonica's brother? Why did he kill him?
He's old in Once Upon a Time in the West.
He has a full story like William Munney before - which is why the railroad baron would hire him.
He was hired by a Tycoon - so he must be Top dollar mercenary? Why?
And how did he get that way?
He's willing to kill a wife and kid? And apparently is a great shot and confident against Harmonica.
What's his backstory? The movie portrays him as a big deal in the West.
We know nothing about him.
We know he killed Harmonica's brother.

That's a great summary of Frank. The bad guy in one of the most iconic movies ever filmed, but all we know is that he made a mistake by killing harmonica man's brother a long time ago.

Harmonica looks like he's 10 years old when Frank kills his brother...
So Frank was young and has a long history before his final gunfight with Harmonica.
There's a story there.
Never happen though; I mean who plays Henry Fonda but Fonda?
I know it was popular to have the mysterious villain back then but now we want to know more...the man in the black hat doesn't carry as much weight as it used to...the white hat got the full story, the black hat in Westerns got the short end of the stick. He was too much cardboard.
But Fonda was such a great actor and good guy for all his films...that you REALLY want to see his story...because it's Fonda playing a bad guy...something you never really saw...and he wasn't just a black hat. There was a story.
This is one prequel (made at the time, of course - with Fonda - that could have been great.)
