I don't think I've ever been let down by a movie as I was by Alexander.
Me neither.
I remember seeing the teaser trailer, just the title followed by Directed by Oliver Stone, and thinking HOLY shite this is going to be fricking amazing. I guess at the time I still naively believed that Oliver Stone was still capable of making a great film.
Such a waste of a big budget and a great story.

Waterboy 2, starring Nick Saban as Red Beaulieu, Les Miles as Coach Klein, Eric Esch as Bobby Boucher and as Farmer Fran; Ed Orgeron.

What an absolute disaster this was.
Please Hollywood gods make a accurate historical re-make (no PC roles)

All of the shitty Star Wars movies that came out recently but they would need complete rewrites so i'm not sure that counts. Otherwise, don't remake movies; come up with your own stories. Current movie makers are creatively bankrupt but succeed because of people like you who eat up their shite.

sort of hard now that Carrie Fischer is dead and Harrison Ford wants nothing to do with SW

I watched the little 'making of' documentary on the last episode of The Mandalorian.
I'll leave the big *SPOILER* unspoken, but everyone who's seen it knows to what I refer of.
Surprisingly enough, when you cut to the chase, the original guy wasn't needed (or included) on film. They used a younger body double, used a lot of tech to overlay the *SPOILER* face,... and then I swore they said they didn't use his voice (which would make sense, given the changes due to age).
Soo... he's basically there on set to create atmosphere.
Long story short, ILM is getting pretty close to being able to make the OT sequels we WANT to see.

Random as hell but I would like to see a Twister remake.

It's pretty good as far as fighting and action. Most is set in Louisiana. It has a good bit of cheesiness to it, but it is entertaining.

That would be great. The book is fantastic. The movie....not so much.

They need to make Stephen Pressfield's Gates of Fire.
At one time, maybe 10-15 years ago, George Clooney was attached, so not sure how that would have looked. Around the ocean's 11-12 days.
But damn if that isn't a good book and a much better telling of the battle of Thermopylae. Really it was more about the men and their family's and the human aspect of it all vs the actual battle.
Been years since I've read it but there's a scene where Dienekes explains to the younger men at the battle that they're all going to die and it's ok to be scared because loving your countrymen and sacrificing yourself for your brothers in arms is the greatest thing you can ever do. Or something like that. I'm not doing it justice, but it's probably one of the greatest monologues on fear, and probably why, at one point, taught in most of the military acadamies. And other reasons.
There are so many poignant scenes in that book. And Leonidas isn't a caricature, but a damn good king.
And the battle scenes would be real, something like braveheart, vs comic book-ish. I liked 300 but every time I watch it I just think how Gates of Fire would be such a better movie.
Make that movie and I'm throwing my money at it. I would absolutely go see something like that.

but it's supposed to be a closer adaptation of the book, not a remake of the movie
if this is the case then prepare for it to be a subversive piece of woke shite.
no way do they do the book justice in todays entertainment climate. the book had concepts of citizenry being earned thru service and an overall positive outlook on how that service built strong, capable, moral people. lots of people consider it a fascist wet dream.
i wanna see a remake of Ronin.
