The above statement comes off sort of a'hole-ish, and you may have not meant it that way, so I'll refrain from some heated reply but...

This:

Is a perfect album?

And Continuum is isn't even Mayer's best.

Different strokes man. There's no way a MAtchbox 20 album would be near my Top 1000 albums of all time. No way. They have some catchy songs, I'll admit though.

Who doesn't hate Creed? At the time time, who couldn't sing along to "My Own Prison?"

My favorite Maiden album, no doubt - but I still think "The Prophecy" is kind of the one bump in the road.

But it was so awesome seeing them at UNO on that tour, in the front row - just an unbelievably great show.

See its MY perfect album, so thats why i don't have problems with all these one offs people are submitting but that NMH album is regarded by indie music fans a like as one of the greatest album, which is what confuses me, how SO many peopole can like it.

ALSO FWIW, Rob Thomas is a GREAT songwriter.

So it bothers you that a bunch of people love what you would refer to as either a random album, or an album that sucks?

Basically insinuates that we only like the album because we are told to.

Edit: Holy cow I am close to 10k....what do I do?

And there it is again

Bon Iver is definitely one of my favorite albums, but I don't think it's perfect.

Which is funny because that album came out before the internet blogging age.

It doesn't bother me, I just don't get it. I listen to all kinds of music. I literally own music from damn near every genre there is. I just have a hard time getting indie rock and i think that bothers me. I have a hard time describing what is it, its seems like its the lack of rhythm or heart to the music if you will. I would like to "get" indie rock. Maybe i need some indie rock light to help ease me into the genre.

I don't care if people like it, i just have a hard time understanding why more than any other genre of music.

Fair enough

I'm done with this thread and posting in general until I figure out what to do with my 10k. I would continue the talk, but that would eat up a lot of posts.

Someone else must take over.

Everyone does that, i do that. If you tell a group of people that a movie got great reviews and then tell another group that the same movie got crappy reviews, i guarantee you the overall rating by those different movie goers will vary towards what they were told initially.

nothing wrong with that imo

at least you are cool enough to admit it and think about it. Most people are retarded and just write things off because "it sucks"
