Just caught the latest episode. Business has most definitely picked up. Elliot gets the living shite beat out of him and it appears that White Rose ordered a hit against the FBI.

I missed the part how Dom picked up on the black Army. Was it when she was at Romeros house then at the vacant building?
I have to rewatch episodes to pick up on smaller details.

On that note, Season 2 has been a major disappointment for me, and I find myself not paying attention here and there, not intentionally but my mind just wanders off which is never a good sign for a show.

Yea, people are way to quick just claim a show is sinking these days. Seems like all it takes is 2 episodes

I read a reviewer say this season has been nothing but pontificating and mental masturbation. I agree. The longer episodes really make it drag too.

Loved the first season... but have had a hard time getting into this season..

Remember the time obsession whiterose has. Everything is perfectly timed. He opened up to Dom and basically semi-revealed himself to her at the stroke of midnight. There is huge symbolism in that (also while talking about the hack and if it never happened). It's the start of a new day. He saw her as a threat and figured he was going to wipe her out along with her team so he slipped up and made a reveal. (She knew he didn't have a sister).
There is also something else to note between those two. The FBI agent talking about her spouse kept using "they" as the pronoun. They made sure to keep gender out of it. She said she left "them" when they proposed. Maybe there is a connection whiterose picked up on.

He obviously encrypted the database in an attempt to get out of dealings with Ray. ("You're going to have to find someone else, I can't do it") He must have wanted out and encrypted it knowing that Ray would search for someone to fix it and he could step out.

It had a slight agent starling Hannibal lecter feel to it. I thought the dialogue and interaction were brilliant.
I know he/she is a time hacker but rationally speaking you can't let the cat out of the bag too soon. I felt like this could have been done a little further in the season.

The last two have been a lot better.
Also this season is 12 episodes, not 10, so some elements will be drawn out. Looking back it isn't so bad as I believe esmail intentionally did this

On top of the 12 episodes we are also getting > 1 hr run time on them. I watch the show the night after without commercials and the run times have been 1 hr 12 mins or more, without commercials.
