This is the correct answer. I wanted another Hellboy (not sure if that counts since II was also pretty good and was the sequel) but only w/ Guillermo del Toro and not the abomination we did get. The Nice Guys is another. Those two had chemistry. I wouldn't mind another Big Lebowski either. Poor Donnie.

It's a bit different than wanting an otherwise successful movie/franchise get yet another movie - I was aiming more for movies that probably WOULD have gotten a sequel but the money just wasn't good enough.

Hell to the yes, brother.

Fun fact, Buckaroo Banzai and the World Crime League became Big Trouble in Little China when Buckaroo didn't do as well at the box office as expected.

Remo Williams - the Adventure Begins!....

...and ends apparently.

But, yeah, the obvious answer is Master and Commander.

Remo is as obvious as anything to me. Fantastic and the sequels were set up on a tee.

The Man From UNCLE.

Saw it in theatres and had a blast. Good story, action, and comedic relief. Basically a Guy Ritchie Bond movie but better than 90% of the Bond movies ever made. And I say that as a big Bond fan.

Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote about 10 books with John Carter as the central character, so Hollywood would not have to look far for material.

Blade Runner 3, but I’m hoping with Villineue’s (sp?) success on Dune that they’ll give him another chance.

Great movie. It's been awhile, but why did it merit a sequel?

I'm going to go ahead and nominate Dredd (2012)

This is a good one. But the reason the box office was bad was because the previous movie sucked.

They looked like they were essentially marooned on Skull Island. Could have been fun if that trio just got stuck in random monster movies.
