Miller's Crossing is the first one that came to mind for me.

The Shining. There's no way you're taking all of that in after one viewing.

bullshite. The only thing you get from a second viewing of that boring turd is an earlier bedtime.

I thought the OP title was for the movie "GO". I had to watch it a couple times just to keep up with all the characters in the movie.

It's a different experience the second time you watch it. The first time is like a mystery and the second is badass tour de force by both guys.

I missed the window when this was a hot topic movie, and thought everyone was being gay fangirls over it- but watched it many years after the release and immediately watched the directors cut right after that same night. Incredible story telling, acting, directing, filmography.

Anybody the watched 2001 the first time and had any fricking clue what was going in is an absolute liar, scoundrel, or fraud.

Forgot who the famous actor was that walked out of the premier, but he was correct.

Granted, I saw the film for the first time as teenager, I still had no clue what the film was about for years and years...same goes for Eyes Wide Shut and basically every other Kubrick film, but 2001 kind of takes the cake.

I was bewildered and filled with feigned anger upon first viewing.

I later came to realize what a a buffoon I was and now marvel at the genius of it all. I still feel it is a bit of pompous, self-indulgent confusion fest on purpose, but it still does not diminish the overall work of genius

Suspect Zero (2004), with Ben Kingsley and Aaron Elkhart. Kingsley was an old government agent part of an experimental program aimed at developing and harnessing telepathic abilities in individuals for military purposes. He used these abilities to understand the actions of serial killers, leading him to hunt them down.

It's a trip.
