Speaking of Friday Night Lights, the ending in that movie was brutally realistic for anyone who’s played a sport or even just been a big time fan of a team. The ending with Explosions In The Sky playing is rough

Bridges of Madison County-When he is leaving and her and her husband are at the store and she stays in the truck, its raining, she looks out the window and Clint is standing in the rain smiling at her. Then when they are at the red light and shes grabbing the door handle of the truck. Gets me every time.

This. For a Sandler comedy, it sure did turn into heartbreaking drama with a child custody battle.

Sad, but sweet. God didn't forget about Pop after all. He lived a long and full life.

Probably already mentions but ...

Will Smith apologizing to the family for putting the drugs in Carlton's locker.

Also, there was an episode of ER where George Clooney rescues a boy trapped in a storm drain. Gut-wrenching.

Lots of good ones. Here's a few that I didn't see mentioned.

Movie: going with Klaus here. Tons of heart-tuggers but the first scene that really punched me was the birdhouse reveal in the forest. This right after the funniest joke in the movie involving the noose too.

TV: This is Us. I didn't watch much of this series but there's one episode involving Randall at a party in a high-rise building where a coworker is contemplating suicide over the balcony. Randall's trying to talk the guy down, gets distracted for a split second, turns back and his coworker isn't there anymore. Randall senses the worst, goes to check over the ledge, sees nothing, and then a moment later you see the coworker walking back through the apartment, apparently having had a change of heart. It's brief but that scene legit stopped my heart for a second. Brilliant writing and editing.

The scene in Good Will Hunting when Robin Williams finally reaches Matt Damon and Damon lets his guard down.

Always gets me for some reason.

I know it may seem silly to some, but the "Papa" scene in the Patriot always used to tear me up. Just the way she's crying and telling him to please don't go and she'll say whatever he wants her to. Just always used to hit me

Damn you I was reading the whole thread waiting to post that Kills me everytime. I’ve had to leave my daughters numerous times and that scene is a heartbreaker

This is actually my favorite movie exchange ever. I would much rather have only a few close friends over several friends that aren’t close or sincere.

Robin Williams bench scene was pretty good.

When AJ Soprano tries to kill himself in the pool and he is trying to climb out and Tony saves him. Just the scene of a broken kid trying to end it and then regretting it and his dad saves him gets me every time.

The scene at the end of Armageddon when everyone is getting out of the space shuttle and has someone waiting for them and the one guy who is estranged from his wife and son sees his son running down the runway with his toy space shuttle…gets me every time.

And the scene in Field of Dreams when Ray is arguing with shoeless Joe about why he built the field and then he looks over and sees the catcher take off his mask…that moment is amazing!
