I wish I could think of all the movie scenes that put me on the edge of tears, but the scene in "Christmas Story" when Ralphie seems resigned to the fact that the didn't get the Red Ryder BB Gun, but his Dad points over to a package hidden in the corner. That gets me, everytime.
Also, the pursuit scene at the end of "The Last Mohican" is emotional as the brother essentially throws caution to the wind to save his girl friend, but ends up getting killed. The musical score that accompanies that scene gets me stirred up, too.

The end of Interstellar got me when McConaughey reunites with his daughter
"You told them I like farming?"

frick you. And frick you for posting the image of the moment.
I'm sitting on my couch with family around damn it. Gets me more than the grave side scene.

My mom had a similar experience with her mother, so the "Do I make you proud" scene from The Sixth Sense always got me.
Plus, I think the acting by Toni Collette is phenomenal.

Great thread. My favorite is definitely, "dad, wanna have a catch?"
About Time and Toy Story 3 are beautiful films.
Fresh Prince's "how come he don't want me, man?" Is the best one on tv. When Marshall's dad died on HIMYM is very sad. His response is perfect, "I am not ready for this."
The Guinness commercial is amazing. Look up the "2010 AT&T mobile commercial train" on YouTube.

What Dreams May Come.
Funeral scene. Made the mistake of watching after Williams died. I had never seen it.
Williams just died and I have a young son. Bad combo. Sitting on my couch alone watching it while my wife and son were in bed. Hell 1/3 of the movie has you pushed to misty eyed, but the funeral scene is perfection.... If you want to cry.
"I see a man I never got to meet...." Then goes on to discuss looking into your sons eyes and seeing the first realization that he has of just how much you love him. I'm paraphrasing, but damn.

I remember crying at the end of ET when he was saying goodbye.
"I'll be right here."
I got a chill just typing

I didn't cry but the scene at the end of Philadelphia after the funeral watching the home movies was a really great end to a sad movie.

but Doc Graham running up to the gravel, stopping, realizing he will never go back, then going forward to save the girl is the one that gets me the most.
Have an upvote. I think of this scene a lot anytime I question my career choice and wonder what might have been.

Anything with kids or babies losing a parent and pets dying turns on the waterworks for me. Of course I'm a softie though. The two scenes I remember most is Fox and the Hound when the hound won't move out of the way for the hunter to shoot the fix. (Only scene I remember from one viewing thirty years ago. Second was Where the Red Fern Grows and lil Ann won't eat because ol Dan died and you knew she was going down fast.
Ive had a nice trip down memory lane reading these posts and man, got a little dusty in here.

Stepmom. Lose your mother at a young age and this one hits like a ton of bricks.
