Midnight showing of The Dark Knight. Every single screen in the theater was showing it and they were all packed.

I was watching The Ring. The guy directly in front of me had a shaved, tattooed head. He did not look like a man to be trifled with.

When Samara comes out of the TV, he jumped up out of his chair and screamed "Oh shite, she's coming! Run!" in a terrified voice.

I was almost on the floor laughing.

Saw Wedding Crashers opening night at a late showing in a completely packed house with some buddies, we had drank a bunch of beer at Hooters beforehand so we were a little buzzed. The theater roared with laughter the whole movie, definitely the most enjoyable theater outing ever.

The ulta-rare PG-13 boobs shot, and a really long and magnificent one at that.

I already had internet access at that time so it wasn't as big deal for me, but it sure was to a ton of pre-teen and teenage boys in 1997.

Most memorable for most I would assume because of the mass shooting that night.

Probably Jurassic Park and shitting my pants because of it

Second place goes to a guy at Tinseltown in Shreveport who was shitting in the bathroom, me and my other middle school comrades walked in and started raising a fuss about how much it stunk in there, finally the guy from the bathroom yells out “WELL YA DONT HAVE TO BROADCAST IT BOYS!”

Mandela Effect is already in full effect. The shooting happened during the midnight release of The Dark Knight Rises.

You’re a moron.

Midnight showing of TDK was the biggest event like that I’ve ever been to and it was incredible. There will never be anything like it in the future either because of early Thursday releases and assigned seats

Probably The Dark Knight on opening night.

I worked a 12 hour shift that day and got sick that day and threw up several times. A girl I worked with ordered me a ticket online. I went there after work.

At a midnight showing of Godzilla, when the big guy began destroying San Francisco, one of my buddies said "uh oh, he's out of Copenhagen", a reference to my dad when he realizes his last tin is empty.

We couldn't stop laughing after that, so we made angry dad comments for Godzilla whenever he was onscreen. Stupid story, but it felt like we were doing a MST 3000 bit and we still laugh about it.

Going to see my first rated R movie with my dad at 8 years old. It was a little film called Aliens.
