Do you think Guy Ritchie is trying to tie this into his movie "The Gentlemen"? Is Brosnan supposed to be an elder Micky Pearson, and Tom Hardy his new "Ray"?

Great first episode!!!

I just had to mute the opening tune. ... Industrial trash.

if you would have told me when he got dropped as bond, the pierce brosnan would have the career he's had post bond, i don't know if i would have believed you.
There was a time (pre-Bond) where he was dismissed as being just a TV actor.

Just finished. All in on this. Anybody think Mirren was bullshitting about ole boy at the end being a traitor?

And for anybody wondering the opening theme is Starburster by Fontaines DC. It’s an absolute banger

Watched the 1st episode and cannot understand a single word they are saying, and I hate subtitles.

I was a bit confused.

Wasn't that his best friend who came to see him earlier who she greeted with "I thought you were dead?"

Was that foreshadowing her getting him whacked?

Also-. Is Brosnan literally the governor (didnt know they had governors over the pond) or is that his mob name?

What do we think happened to the other boss' son?

Remington Steele had it's moments.

Governor/Guv is just slang for boss, chief.

It’s slang for “the boss”, as in he is the head of this particular crime family, like the godfather.

Good to see that it looks like a good one. I will make sure to check out as soon as get through the ones that are coming to an end. Its my way of zipping through shows without having to wait for next week to watch the next episode.

He was in The Long Goodfriday, but I don't remember him in it. Helen Mirren was in that too. The Ghost Writer and The Fourth Protocol were some good movies where he is the villain. Also, Fontaines D.C. are awesome.

Spoiler Alert********************

What is his plan for the fentanyl? I'm not getting the angle.

Hmm. I haven't thought about that. What's her end game? To take over?
