I’m confused a bit by the responses in this thread. Many of this board hate when females or minorities are cast as established male characters. But you’re also upset when a white female is cast for an established white female character?

I think it’s pretty good casting. She was great in House of the Dragon.
I’m a lot more excited for the James Gunn DC universe than anything that’s on deck for Marvel.

Seems really odd to have Supergirl before, or even in conjunction with, Superman in this new DC Universe. I've always felt Superman arriving first, and Supergirl having to come to terms with that, is a major piece of the character's development. I don't think audiences are going to feel that as much if they are introduced so close together.

I have a hard time buying that you're being serious with this question. Because if you are, then you're truly oblivious to super hero movies since...2008? 2000?
We're in 2024. Marvel had a good run with the original XMen movie, the start of the MCU (pre-Disney) and on Netflix.
DC has been playing catchup forever, and with everything that's happened in the past couple of years, no one needs ANOTHER Supergirl project.
But Hollywood is going to Hollywood it up, as we're seeing in present day, and it'll almost certainly be a disaster.

If that were true the Supergirl TV series would not have gone for 6 seasons and 126 episodes.
