I don't get what the people who make movies like this are trying to do. There's nothing artistic about what they do, it's purely exploitative and gross. Other than pure shock/willingness at the horribleness they can put on celluloid, why even think there's anything good about it?

There's are a large market for gore. I enjoy a good blood and guts movie every now and then. Not every movie has to be Citizen Kane.

Definitely a market for gore, and I definitely don't hold every movie to the standard of Citizen Kane, which I've never seen. I can see creativity in stuff like the original Saw and even Hostel, but I dont get stuff like Megan is Missing.

I put on this movie because I saw this thread.
I don't really get the point of making this type of movie, but if you're going to go ahead and make it, at least get people who can act. It was hard listening to these people talk.

It's surprisingly not, though some of the material is obviously meant to abhor.
I don't mind disturbing movies like this, but I watched the trailer for MiM, and it looks kinda stupid. May check it out if I can find it for cheap though.

I'm wondering the same thing. I google imaged it and saw a couple of pics but nothing that rocked my world like people are describing.
Anyone care to throw up a decent description of the pics?
