I'll be watching, streaming.

It may sound like a weird criticism, but I miss those iconic voices of Morpheus and Smith. For me, it added a lot.

I was originally in the "this will surely be terrible" camp, but I've really liked the looks of both trailers. Expectations are still very low, but I'm definitely excited to see it.

The nostalgia factor doesn't move the needle for me at all. I think this movie is gonna suck, to be honest.

Someone confirmed somewhere that this takes place 60 years after The Matrix Revolutions. The old woman in the trailer is Niobe.

I have too many questions..LOL

I guess the two biggest are NEO's eyes were horribly destroyed by Smith in Revolutions and Trinity "died". I wonder if they are going to address this?

Morpheus

The pretend/younger version looks like garbage. He sounds like he's trying too hard to sound like Lawrence Fishburn

The real world is just another layer of the matrix is one theory, isn’t it?

I still don't get why Morpheus isn't in this.

My guess...the machines found both bodies and reinserted them in to the pods. I am guessing they have tissue repair tech.

...it was all just another matrix, meant for control. It wasn't real.

Plausible.

Or maybe iterations of the Matrix are more similar than we ever suspected. Maybe once someone dies, they’re reborn elsewhere in due time with cloning tech or something. That would explain why Neo and Trinity are back, and why Morpheus is younger. He died long after them so his “reincarnated” self is thus younger. Meanwhile Niobe is just an older version of Jada Pinkett.

One thing that could be a red herring but seemed to stand out to me - is Trinity actually The One in this version? Or at least some combination of her and Neo we’ve yet to understand.

I honestly cannot remember what happened at the end of Revolutions. Its probably been 15 years since I've seen it.

Didn't the architect guy in part 2 explain to Neo that you can't ever escape the Matrix. It's just takes on different forms. I need to rewatch the first 3 before I dive into this one.

I wish they could have just gotten Fishbourne on board for this , he was such a pivotal character and he played it perfectly.

I was going to say something similar about Smith.

I almost feel bad for the guy having to play young Smith. There's just no way he can do the measured, cold, and calculating voice and cadence of Hugo Weaving.
