The role previously played by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in the 2003 feature film, this iteration of the Kingpin is officially described as being "a powerful businessman whose interests in the future of Hell’s Kitchen will bring him into conflict with the blind attorney Matt Murdock and his alter ego Daredevil."

“We’re incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining 'Marvel’s Daredevil' in such an integral role,” says Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television. “Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero."

Does Daredevil ever team up with any other super heros or is he a loner?

He had a long run with Black Widow.

I would rather have a great actor than someone who looks more like the part.

Doesn't Kingpin also appear in Spiderman comics? It seems like I remember Daredevil and Spiderman teaming up a few times too.

Don't think so. Spiderman has so many villains, I doubt they would even want to use Kingpin.

ETA: They do co-own. LINK

Kingpin was really huge and actually it's supposed to be solid muscle. Mostly a Daredevil villain but sometimes Spider-Man.

I seem to recall Spider-Man even having trouble with kingpin in a fistfight, which is dumb bc even if he's 400lbs of muscle he wouldn't be as strong as Spider-Man who can lift a bus. Whatev.
