This dude's whole "screw Hollywoods "push" of Kumail Nanjiani" is one of the more ridiculous arguments I've seen on this board. Holy shite.

You using future films that haven’t had any screen time or any trailers or media coverage is silly when your point was that you’re “tired” of him

What are you talking about? Is he not gonna be in the movies he was casted in?

I do not enjoy this Hollywood push of kumail nanjiani. Dude stinks

Notice it's a current statement. My 'point" was that kumail sucks and is not funny I don't want to see him in more movies

You wouldn’t know about any of those movies and said “push” without going to his IMDB. That’s not a push

i will say that the current big hollywood push is coming for awkwafina from crazy rich asians, who coincidentally was just cast in the shang chi movie.

can only take her in small doses, but man, she's gonna be all over soon, if not already.

I wouldn't know men in Black or the eternals? Ok

I'll be honest I didn't expect to find a hardcore fan for such a mediocre comedian on here. You must be very proud of the push he's getting

I find Awkwafina irritating. She's basically a less attractive, less funny asian version of Whitney Cummings.

I liked her well enough in Crazy Rich Asians.
I keep on seeing trailers for some indie movie she's going to be in about a Chinese family dealing with the fact their grandma is dying, but they don't want to tell the old lady out of family obligations. That looks like it will be a world-class tearjerker.

I didn’t know who she was until those shitty phone commercials started airing, that was enough for me.

Should I be excited about the eternals? Doesn’t seem to interesting

I think the more surprising thing is that there's someone so triggered by Kumail getting more roles.

He played the voice of an alien in MiB 3 and I don’t think he was credited in the trailer. Certainly not top billing.

The eterals was just announced yesterday with zero clips or anything. Just an announcement that he will be in it. That’s hardly any exposure.

Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden (Robb Stark from GoT) and Brian Tyree Henry (Paperboi from Atlanta) are going to be in it too. They'll all get more attention.

As an old school Marvel fan from the 70's (maybe even late 60's), the What IF series is intriguing.

The old What If books were pretty fun reads. They would start with the premise of what would happen if one pivotal thing had played out differently.

Here are some of the scenarios they presented:

Some of the scenarios later were also handled in the main Marvel universe (but not in the same way or with the same results of course).

Some others I remember were things like What If Ben Grimm was cured of being the Thing, what if the Avengers had never formed, etc.

There was usually a bit of an ironic twist as the story played out. It had a bit of a Twilight Zone feel to it.

I can see this being a great series if done right. One thing I'm curious about is if this will be purely hypothetical scenarios or if they use the multi-verse concept to present them. Seems like with a multi-verse, they could do any permutations they want.

Im mostly surprised Black Panther 2 wont be in Phase 4. I wonder if Marvel is waiting to bring in the Xmen and Fantastic 4 into the MCU, as Tchalla has connections with both groups in the comics

With Blade being announced, I wonder if the majority of Phase 5 aren't "team-up" films:

Guardians of the Galaxy 3
Fantastic Four
Captain Marvel 2 (introducing the Nova Corps)
Black Panther 2 (introducing the X-Men)
Blade (introducing the Midnight Sons)

Honestly.... they need to reclaim the Netflix Marvel Characters.

Daredevil is too big a character to just let die in a streaming service because Disney started Disney plus.

I think they will, but it's a waiting game. They have to wait out the 2 year window before anything official can be done.

I just don't know when the window started or if it's different for each property.

Daredevil and Punisher have been the best series, IMO. But Iron Fist is one of my favorite characters and they were teeing up a season that would look a lot like one of my favorite comic book runs with him.

Add Daredevil and Wilson Fisk to the next Spider-man movie, and have the Punisher put on the War Machine armor, and you'd definitely have my curiosity.

I am A big Iron Fist fan (the Fraction run was great) but I did not like season one and never watched season 2

He spent half his life training in martial arts and getting physically abused. He should be coming back to New York like a war vet with PTSD not a naive kid.
