Is it so hard to just dislike these marvel movies for normal reasons?
You still going on about this? It's been said time and time again, that there's basic bad movies, and then there's woke rubbish. But Marvel has gone out of its way to minimize the male leads and overhype the female characters. Feige even stated it openly. How are you not getting this?
Kevin Feige reveals that he envisions a time when "more than half" the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are female - (2018) Screen Rant
And regarding Eternals, let's not forget...

“I wish I had that when I was a kid to see this. My god. I wish! Can you imagine how many lives this is going to be saving — kids, young queer folk, who are being bullied, committing suicide, and not seeing themselves being represented? And now they get to see this — it’s above and beyond.”

All they have to do is avoid the woke messaging and focus on good writing. The stories are already out there, they just have to adapt them to screen then call it a day.

Hopefully all of these superhero comic movies die. The vast majority of them were lame as frick.

Did you watch a 9-hour YouTube video deep dive of the movie so you know which parts to be offended by?
Nope. Not yet at least.
Still, time better spent than at some theatre and pay for that crap.
But to be fair, the 9hr 23-minute-long video isn't JUST on Eternals, but how did you know it was 9 hours?
Huh.

So who do they have left on the roster for the Avengers that hasn’t been retired, killed off or nerfed?
You could argue that they should have recast.

I didn’t. We were talking about Shang Chi and it was intended to be a hyperbolic estimate, but I guess I need to pump up my numbers.

Only movies that deserve those kinds of budgets are sure things like Avengers.
At the time the early films were released they were not a sure thing by any stretch

People act like starting out with Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America weren’t risks.

Marvel didn’t get to where they were by just playing it safe they absolutely took massive risks

Yeah, no shite it's about making good movies. Marvels and Eternals were awful, written by activists with an axe to grind. It wasn't about taking risks. It was about disseminating propaganda.
Ant Man, once decent, turned into a clown show and played itself out with Quantumania, for the same reasons.
You were a massive cheerleader for all of the intersectional crap, so own it.

This is sad to hear. I'm going watch Eternals on D+ right now.

Disney over exposing every media property they own is the biggest issue.
All they care about it making money, nothing to do with artistic integrity.

The latest Antman EFAP was only 6 hours. Eternals (and other stuff) is 9+ hours. Mind you, these are recorded live, not as a scripted series. They really do leave no stone unturned when breaking down these movies & shows.
Every Frame A Pause is hyperbole, but not by much.

Aquafina ruined that movie for me.
Also, Disney bought these franchises, MCU/Star Wars, and just started pumping out movies to recoup the money they spent. Disney is all about quantity and not quality.

Ding ding ding. Make good movies. Full stop. Problem is, they can’t as they’ve hired DEI style and can no longer achieve quality. So they will make less films but those will do badly as well.
Besides, 2/3 of folks don’t even go to see movies in theatres anymore anyway.

She was also terrible in Renfield. Terribly miscast. She's good in some roles, I'm told, but she's got a narrow range and needs to stick to it. For her career, less is more.

Shang Chi was great until it devolved into a CGI fest in the second half. The bus and bamboo fight scenes are some of the best fight choreography in the MCU
It also had a very likable lead which I feel like they’re struggling with in other franchises like Captain Marvel, etc.

Well then stop with the female leads. They continually suck.
And I agree, how can they not make a good Blade movie? It’s a slam dunk if they just follow what was put before them. Just continue the story.

Most popular of all time now. Thor and Iron Man certainly did not fit that bill before 2008.
