Maybe Marvel will fade but I'm even as cynical as I am its hard to say for sure. What they accomplished with the first 3 phases is pretty incredible and it all started with Iron Man. Who besides comic fans knew anything about Iron man or thought it would kickass. So while I agree the line up does look weak I think its too early to make a call

i think it will make plenty of money, albeit, never what they did with Avengers.

i'm done with them. Spiderman was the last one i wanted to see and i'm good from here on out. it's not SJW melting or anything, i'm just good. anything else is going to be that 4th movie after a successful trilogy that nobody wanted.

People have been saying this since before The Avengers came out.

"Oh, it's just a fad. After the team up they'll be tired of it. Nobody cares about superheroes."
i only heard people like you say that. Everyone else has been really excited about Marvel movies up until endgame.

Please find the posts where I have ever said Marvel or comic movies were going to go away.

I didn't like DCs direction with Snyder but aside from that I've liked the vast majority of comic movies. I'm even one of the Iron Man 3 defenders on this board.

What does that even mean? I'm not a naysayer when it comes to comic movies.

it means you were acting like the people that say "OMG they have been saying that for ages!" and think that was the popular opinion when they read one blogger who said the movie was going to bust.

the populace was pumped for comic book movies. But as this thread shows, even that type of people are starting to notice the decline of the routes comic book movies are taking.

Ok my dude. Whatever you say. I only saw one blogger say comic movies would go bust. Can we go to Vegas so we can put your mind reading skills to good use? I'll provide the seed money and split the profits with you 50/50.

7 of the 15 superhero movies released in the last 2 years made over a billion dollars. Seems like people don't mind the routes they are taking.

If by "people" you mean like 3 people, then sure. If you mean most people, no.

I dunno, on plenty of forums I see all sorts of wishing the death of the comic book movie.

It's not going to happen anytime soon. But phase 4 may be the slow down until a new hype is generated. Dr Strange numbers will probably be baseline. Depending on what Waititi gets out of Portman Thor will either be a treat or a trick.

Doesn't help that their new central character, Spiderman, just got axed. What a dumb move on Marvels part to make him so front and center like that

How long before we get another finger snap with Capt America and Iron Man suddenly reappearing in full combat shape?

And after seeing how much money Captain Marvel made, I have no idea what the public considers to be a bad movie.

There is a Disney whistleblower talking to the feds, claiming evidence that Disney inflated their numbers

Isn't that mostly on Parks?

Or has it branched out to other divisions?

Nothign lasts forever. Iron Man and Captain America were the linchpin of the MCU. Now that they're gone, Marvel has to find their new focus. If Spiderman is truly gone from the MCU, I just don't know who that's going to be.

Dr Strange
Cap Marvel
Black Panther

Guardians as the mortar

Waititi if he pulls another rabbit out his hat with Thor

And then the MCU versions of X-Men, FF4, coming down the pipe.

Long as MCU is healthy Invincible might have a shot at being turned into a series.

Marvel is too popular, worldwide, to fall off. It'll be a while till they go down.
