Disagree. He may have been a little over the top at times, but I liked him in the Departed.

He was pretty damn good in Fear. Also, that movie had young Alyssa Milano

Every time I see that movie on television, that scene where she bends over in front of William Peterson always gets me.

Yes, it could be argued his best role was in The Departed. Badass is how I'd describe him. Shooter, another good one.

One of my favorite movie scenes is at the end of Four Brothers when Wahlberg strolls up through the snow to take out the guy who got his brother killed.

Inconsistent. Can be very good, i.e., Three Kings and Boogie Nights, or embarrassing in The Happening.

Has his ups and downs but he was great in Shooter so it makes up for some of the other shite
